Have you seen any of the pictures I’ve posted this year of the types of toweled I use in my classes?
I taught 14 classes this year and that means a lot of towels for
multiple multiple procedures and... all the cars we detail come out perfect - this means everything we use is “ working”.
I’ll post more when I get to work...

Here's the pictures of the towels I packed and shipped all over the USA this year. If I'm packing them... it's because my class is using them and they work.
The florescent green towels are SUPER SOFT and the edges are rolled over and then sewn so when using the fluffy side everything that touches the paint is super soft. (you don't use the flat weave side). This is perfect for wiping off high end waxes and sealants.

The green and blue towels are just BASIC microfiber towels. I using them in my classes for,
Wiping off clay lubricant residue - includes using Nanoskin towels and mitts when using clay lubricants
Rinseless washes
Wiping down door jambs, engine compartments, wheels and tires, etc. Anything that is not important.
Here's the link to the blue towels. I can't find the link to the green towels so my guess is we stopped carrying them? Regardless, they were both the same towel, just different colors and I simply call them a Utility Towel as I use them and show them for hundreds of procedures. They are fairly stout, not wimpy and light like normal cheap towels. They last forever and are perfect for any
grunt work you do when detailing.

The Gold Plus Jr. towels 16x16 are for compounds and polishes. Look how many are stacked up? As long as YOU keep them clean, i.e. keep them off the floor in-between use and when you wash them and dry them, they are great for removing compounds and polishes. If you keep them un-contaminated you can even use them to remove waxes and sealants.

The grey and purple towels are for waterless washes. The plus side works great for allowing dirt on the surface to BURY into the weave versus get pushed against the surface of the paint. As far as I can tell they are the same towel except for color. These are also 16" x 16" - I don't use or like non-square towels. First when folded they don't fit your hand. Second I have to pack and store a LOT of towels and it's a lot easier and faster when all your towels are the same size i.e. 16" x 16" square than it is to try to fold, pack and/or store rectangular towels. So just go square and KISS or Keep it Simple Simon.

The below towels are Meguiar's M9910 and are discontinued. They use to be white but I washed them with some purple GYEON Bald Wipes and they turned lavender. Below them are the GYEON Bald Wipes and I've written on these extensively in my articles and write-ups when chemically stripping paint or doing the final wipe to remove high spots when applying Ceramic Paint Coatings.

These are cover-up towels, I use and show these for COVERING THINGS UP. Everyone that has attended any of my classes knows how important it is to have some of these towels or some beach towels.

I wouldn't make having good towels more complicated than it has to be. What's MORE IMPORTANT is having a SYSTEM dialed-in to keep your towels clean an un-contaminated. I cover this in my boat detailing book as it relates to keeping plastic windows scratch-free. (think about it, you're out on the water in a boat)
