I was reading up on Son1c's homebrew and I found the original Rubbish Boy's thread and it peaked my curiosity. I have always been a very hands on person when it comes to anything I do. I have built all of my own race cars, restored one car and am in the process of another, and now I want to tackle a homebrew, plus my fiance is going for her phd in chemistry so I have that to my advantage :xyxthumbs: . Thru a lot of research (at least 20 hours worth is a lot in my mind) I think I have come up with a basic recipe or two. Anyway, if anyone has any helpful hints I would greatly appreciate any and all advice. My main concern is finding a higher grade carnauba from a reputable source if anyone knows one. I know dodo juice sells it but from what Dom told me, no one in the US sources it or their solvent (which I may import if I can't get a good recipe going on my own). Again any and all advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

sounds like a new series of braking bad :)) jk

good luck and share your experience with us.
related... the only thing i did, was to melt some meg 16 and polycharge it.
wish i have more time to play chemist :)

I will definitely keep everyone updated, and I hope I can keep up with it. I hope I can come up with something usable. My main goal is to have something I can use once in a while and have the satisfaction of knowing I made it.

Before I contribute to your thread-starter's inquiries...

I believe that you need to ask of yourself the following:
Do I really need another business partner to build a successful "venture-company"?
{I do recognize the fact that you already have a
Chemist lined-up as a potential "Partner"...
[in more ways than one] :)}

I realize that taking on business partners should be reserved for when a partnership is critical to success...
Say: When the prospective partner has financial resources, connections, or vital skills the other partner(s) may lack {Again: The Chemist angle}.

Taking all of this into consideration:
Would you be better off hiring me as an employee;
or, even as an independent contractor?

Nothing Ventured...Nothing Gained!!

@ funx725, the plans for this project are basically for me to end up making something that hopefully works well enough to use. I don't think it will come close to the bar that other products have set for me. Basically all of my ventures are just to do something my way just to try. I don't have any plans on marketing or selling the product.
