A long time friend, and fellow car junkie. Bought this car himself a while back and being only 20 years old money is.... well ya'll know.

Since I've caught the detailing bug I have since convinced him to buy the Meguiar's clay bar kit. :props: I did point out the major swirling and his reply was "I know, it doesn't bother me anymore.":nomore:
Wash products:
Wash: Citrus wash n gloss 3oz. in foam gun / 4oz. in wash bucket.
Wheels & Tires: Trix, Poorboy's spray n rinse. Meguiar's super degreaser.
Decon.: Ironx paste, speedy prep towel w/wash solution.

Correction products:
Spot compounding with Poorboy's SSR 2.5 & Meguiars microfiber cutting pad.

Focal points (Hood, trunk, and C pillars) got a two step. Hood and trunk was corrected using FG400 on Meguiar's microfiber cutting pad, followed with Poorboy's polish with sealant on Meguiar's microfiber finishing pad.

Lights were hit with the same combo as above.

The windshield was spotted and had a horrible haze/film. Got polished with M205 on a tangerine hydrotech pad. Coated with Gtechniq G5.

Wheels and tires were not sealed / dressed per owners request. He's getting new wheels and tires within the week.

Before pictures.

Trix at work.

The trunk was disgusting!

In progress.
50/50 on the hood.

Got some better lighting the next day.

Tail light before.

Done.

Nice work. How many applications of TRIX did you need until the wheels stopped bleeding?

Very nice of you, everyone needs a detailer friend! I got into my friends car the other day (after clearing the trash out of the passenger seat) and stared in amazement at the condition of 3 year old car. My '99 is looking better! We had a laugh about it. I'll be doing an interior detail on it Friday and teaching him a few things :)

Excellent work !!!!
Thanks!

I honestly don't know. Did one application, then went around with Poorboy's spray n rinse, and then hit them with my wheel bucket & brushes. haha. I just knew I was in for a multi step cleaning on the wheels.

Nice lookin TC, great results, I'm sure he's happy too.
He most certainly is! The paint was sooo bad! Felt like it was matte finish. the worst being his paint starting to oxidize as seen on the rear bumper and hood shots. He didn't think his bumper was savable.

Looks good. That thing was dirty.
He used to park along side a park where the city sprinklers would hit it every night! I think the oxidation made it look 4 times as dirty, and of course needing to be clayed 2 times on top of that.

Haha, that's funny. I'm in the same boat, my car is a 96' and the TC was a 05'.
I've challenged my friends to find an area on my car that's dirty. Needless to say, they have given up!
