At my current job, they used to give you a disposable razor and shaving cream at the front door if you werent clean shaven. Send you home if you didnt come to work with your polo tucked in, with belt, clean pants, and required tools.... And this is all for delivering retail furniture!

I can sure tell you what I don't want to see a detailer wearing.

Huge metal belt buckle with a belt with big metal studs on it.

And a shirt with lots and lots of sharp metal buttons.

I agree that a nice Polo shirt with you logo on it and some kind of comfortable pants that do not require a belt.
And if you do just have to wear a belt and button up shirt make sure you wear a detailing apron while working.
