But there isn't 5.5" backing plate right? If there is I wasn't aware of it.

So many different figures in this thread it's gotten confusing.
I assume the GG comes with a 6" backing plate?

yes, the GG6 comes with a 6" backing plate but most (including myself) swap it out and use the 5" (for 5.5" pads) and 3" (for 3"-4" pads) and 3.5" (for 4" pads) DA backing plates...

Question: Why is there that many people suggest using 5.5" backing plates on the GC6?

Also, if anyone can recommend 5.5" and 3" backing plates would be nice.
