looking to replace the PC with a dedicated 3 inch polisher

Of course the Griot's looks very similar to the one available from your local hardware store. I'm pretty sure I know which one your talking about.

I purchased the inline regulator from Buff Daddy, so my pneumatic should be very similar to the $$ Griots model

The regulator allows you to basically set the RPM, so you can hold the throttle all the way down instead of trying to hold it partially down. In my opinion, at 90psi the tool is running way too fast.

If you have the air to support it, the LHR 75 "AirFoot" is the way to go IMO.

With a 15mm stroke and 11,000 RPM (in free air) this thing is a beast, and under the right conditions, the most powerful tool in the lineup - pound for pound.

I have blitzed 1k scratches with it fairly quickly. Just keep in mind that the extra RPM and stroke places more load on the pads, so if you are running it WOT, you can kill pads pretty quick. It can also heat the surface fairly quickly too.

Good to know. I'll check out the regulator.

For 3 inch I use a drill to correct and a GG3 to polish. The drill I purchased is variable speed up to 2800 RPM. So it's like a very small rotary when you put a 3 inch backplate on it. The GG3 lacks power to correct but it good enough to polish so that works great for me.
