So I use the lake country smart pads and wanted to try something new. I have a flex whats a good choice of pads for this machine?

Do any of yall use the pad washer if so is it worth it?

Has anybody tried the new lake county pads?

if you are sticking with foam, Buff & Shine are very. They have a great selection of 4" flat pads.

the Flex and the hybrid pads go hand in hand. i have tried many pads with my Flex and always seem to get the best results using the LC Hybrid pads. others to try are the DRC-1000 and the CarPro Flash Pads

Since you have the Flex, I'd reccomend getting Mikes book on it. I recently got it, almost finished reading it, but it has pages of different pads, sizes and how/why their good for the flex.

Woohoo Black Saturday!

Thanks guys I probably wi get the book since its on sale

Does size a matter if so which should I get?

The FLEX will spin 6 1/2" pads very efficiently on flat and curved panels

6 1/2" are 40% bigger than 5 1/2" pads and make things go more quickly

I use my old PC for 3-4" pads and Cyclo brushes

Just something to consider

Hybrids, IMO, are the only way to go. All I run are the 5" pads, but need to get some 6.5" orange for 1-step large vehicles.

It's made by LC
Not sure why it's called a hybrid but everyone swears by them

Lake Country Hybrid Buffing/Polishing System

The Hybrid System consists of four ultra dense foam formulations and a unique Hybrid Wool pad. The Hybrid foams are specially engineered with small cells and dense construction to keep the abrasives in the chemicals close to the surface of the pad. The result is faster correction time as more polish stays on the working surface rather than being absorbed into the foam. The 45 degree bevel on the backside of the pad protects the backing plate from contact with the working surface, while maintaining consistent pressure across the pad.

Individual Pad Descriptions:

1. Hybrid Wool Pad - More dense and more nanofoam particles than our purple foamed wool pad. Good cutting action but leaves a better finish than a traditional wool pad.

2. Hybrid Orange Cutting Pad - Cuts faster and more uniformly than other foam cutting pads while leaving a defect free finish.

3. Hybrid Blue Light Cutting Pad - Foam formulation enables pad to remove lighter defects quickly without compromising the finish.

4. Hybrid White Polishing Pad - This foam formulation is designed for use with polishes and cleaner waxes to remove swirls and minor defects.

5. Hybrid Black Finishing Pad - Soft but responsive foam to complete the final step with waxes, sealants or glazes for a superior finish.
