Looks like EGO upped their game

The 765 cfm does an amazing job. An extra 5ah battery is $300. So $100 more I get 2 4AH batteries and a new blower…. I wish y’all wouldn’t have posted it

I think I'm gonna take the plunge. The increase in power will be negligible but I have a ton of ego lawn equipment and two new batteries for $400 is a steal. As long as I can get a good price for my 765 I'm going to upgrade.

I think I'm going to do the same, not in any rush as I can't really use it until Spring

I also have a Husqvarna backpack blower. I’ve considered selling it for an Ego blower as it would suit my needs just fine. I bought the husky in 2011 I believe at my old house where I had a ton of trees with a fenced yard. We’re talking about 3 hours every other Sunday clearing leaves. I no longer have that need. Great piece of equipment as it’s never needed a single thing replaced. Would be nice to use an Ego blower to dry a vehicle though.

765 v 880......................................

Interesting to note that you need at least the 4.0 ah battery for the 880 to be fully capable.
I got a 2.5 Ah battery for my 765 to use a lighter option. Glad it doesn't limit it aside from battery life.

How long does the 2.5 last for you with the 765?

The 2.5 Ah is nice for smaller cars. I find I still need the 5.0 Ah for larger cars. Strange that Ego are limiting power on the small batteries for the 880.

Not very long. Like DFB said, it good for smaller cars. Also good for roofs and hoods where you have to lift it up higher or hold your arm out more. So you can always start out with the 2.5 and if it runs out, swap it.

On my 765 going turbo for more than 5 minutes can overheat my 2.5 battery but it has no effect on my 5ah battery. I doubt I’m the only one who’s experienced this and I’m willing to bet the 4ah is the perfect balance between size and working time.
