Looks like GYEON been working hard...

According to my poll... most guys think it's their technique that is the most important factor.

Me? I 100% disagree.

When it comes to polishing paint, if your goal is to make it LOOK GOOD then the most important factor is the abrasive technology.

I test everything on black paint as it's the only true test for any compound, polish or cleaner/wax. Lets hope Gyeon has done their homework and their new products use great abrasive technology.

Of course, it won't matter for all those guys with great technique.

:)
100% agree. Anyone who doesn't wasn't around 15+ years ago to use compounds which were made of fine grade sand

OT, but 1st there was the whole CP/Gyeon debacle...on the FB for Gyeon, looks like Gyeon is taking a stab at the MFM guys...

Saw this on their website (which they recently re-did...thank God cuz their previous site looked cool but was tough to navigate); kinda sounds like the recently released CarPro Essence+ or at the very least the original Essence. Says 'advanced quartz technology' but does no specifically mention containing SIO2...

Q 2 M PRIMER
Advanced quartz technology combined with user friendly characteristics
Q2 PRIMER is an ultra-light finish and SIO2 primer. It provides superb pre-coating surface preparation and an incredibly glossy finish. Its main aim is to perfect the finish on the paints which are hardest to work with, dramatically reducing the risk of scratch marks during the final wipe off before coating. Q2 PRIMER leaves a smooth and slick surface, ready to coat.

Personally it's a perfect mixture of technique and product.
You could have a great technique but if your product isn't up to the task then your nowhere, the same if your technique is rubbish, you could have the best product in the world and get nowhere.
After all, your only as strong as your weakest link.

Both are Korean probably like Hyundai/Kia sharing technologies and platforms.

Not at all!!!, we dont have any relations or share technologies , the whole opposite!! In this world we have leaders and we have followers, and for every leader, there will always be followers.

Anyone have an example of a polish sold today that anyone with a few hundred hours of experience couldnt get a very good finish with?

I remember getting good results with DACP, some top of the line stuff from years ago, anything really. Just had to learn how to use it one way or another.

But who am I to argue the point, I just do my own rides lol.
