Ok for all of you that do not know what a love bug is, here is a pic. (this is X rated)

This is a car that has taken out a few hundred lovers!

After doing what they do, they die in a not so preatty way on the fronts of all of us Florida drivers cars.

So to tackle it, we got out the safe scrub!

A bit of bug blocker to prevent this from happening again... this stuff is a must for our Fla friends. LOVE BUGS stink!

bug_6.jpg

End result, the front end has a coat of Bug Blocker and it is ready for some more love bugs!!!

Thanks for the warning Meghan. I'm sure they're going to get worse.:(

Oh my there are bad here in Brevard. I have been cleaning the front of my car 2x a day minimum to keep them off. I just took off abour 500 from a 50 mile trip up and down 95 for work. I find that PB bug squash and the Pinnacle scrub thing really do a good job on them. I've also been waxing the front of my car every day to try and delay them from etching my clear.

However, since my clear is so soft, I have found a few etchings on my mirrors even though the bugs couldn't have been there for more then 12 hours. Nothing that the rotary couldn't take care of in 10 sec.

What bug remover did you use Meghan?

I love the Pinnacle Safe Scrub, but you sure do got to let it sit in some water for awhile!

Just DP auto soap and the safe scrub.

ooo damn, that's lots of bugs on your bumper.
i do 90 miles of highway driving everyday, and i have never experienced that.

i don't think we have love bugs in california

Thank god I have my safe scrub and Diamondite Gel for the trip across the alley tonight... The safe scrub is hands down, the best detailing tool ever created, and I firmly believe that.

can this stuff keep fly spots and bird crap off my car too?

was there Bug Blocker on the front of the car in this pic before this pic?

I was at Quantim0's house last week, and we spray MEG's APC in the air and like 1000 love bugs flew in from nowhere and hovered in the APC cloud, it was unreal. Love bugs are the Devil's own.

I keep a small spray bottle (travel size) with Poorboys Bug Squash in the car with a soft microfiber. Cannot wait till the season is over as these buggers are nasty and etch a clearcoat mighty quick.

Ive got a corvetteforum member asking about the Bug Blocker from Diamonite specifically, any details from users ???

killr, i'll let you know when i get in around 11 tonight. that will be the true test if it worked or not.

Dead bug orgy on your bumper, grooosssss. I've never seen the love bugs down here in San DIego.

That whole love bug thing sounds frustrating. How long does the season last?
