Was looking at my truck today at our office garage where the lights will show every little mark. Ever since using the Shmitt I notice no swirls, or light marring etc. With Sheepskin or Chenille not matter how careful I was eventually after a couple months swirls would start popping up. Not so with Shmitt, it rocks:righton:

Then I look at the cars around me and cringed, there's a Murci in Lime Green that was swirled like hell, and then a black 07' S500 that looked like it was washed with steel wool lol, S500 is owned by the guy next office over, told him to check this site and he said he would, lets see if I get him on lol. While my Mercury Mountaineer looked perfecto:D. There was a black Civic that looked like the clear coat was gone on the trunk and bird crap etchings all around, jeeze.

lol. how do you dry your truck?
Electric leaf blower and then just qd'er with a microfiber. Leaf blower gets 98% of the water off and espeically out of all the nooks and crannies and window seals that love to drip on suv's. The water left is very tiny micro beads that I just consider extra lube when qd'ing:D

Plus the blower dries tires and wheels quickly and get's water out sitting behind the rim that will spray after you drive off.

Which blower do you have and how powerful is it, I've been looking into getting one from sears, only like 30, but I wasn't sure if it was powerful enough.

I got a red one from Sears, drawing a blank on the name or what I paid for it, came in some bundle pack I bought that had electric chainsaw, clippers for Palm Trees etc. I don't think it blows as fast as a gas but it's more then plenty has water just shoots right off, plus gas ones can spew oil onto the paint sometimes (and their loud as heck lol), the elctric just sounds like a big hair dryer. I'll check the name when I get home in a bit.

Warning - neighbors and especially land scapers will look at you funny when you bring the blower out to use on cars lol:D

i occasionally use a blower. almost always if im going to wax because water will hide until you og to wax thta panel then it all drips down, plus my wheels seem to hold quite a bit of water in them.electric is definatley the way to go.
back on topic, my original shmitt is getting too ripped so i bought 3 at detailfest( 2 regulars, 1 wheel shmitt) i love the shmitts

I've got a Toro model that blows 215 mph. I'm sure 200 would do the job too. You'll love it, especially after a recent wax/sealant job

Whats your technique for washing with the shmitt, two buckets and foam gun or just one with the foam gun.

My neighbors called the cop on me once for using the blower one night while detailing my car, although it was about 12:00 when I started.

YES! i just found out that my roommate has a gas homelite, i dont know the mph though... yes, this is the best news in a long time.

I wouldn't use gas one, they can spew oil onto the pain when in use, cheap electric is better. Plus gas ones are loud as fawk LOL.

More like 4 buckets for rinsing, I have a couple so I just fill em up and use one for each side and front and back. Not OCD lol, I just already had them so makes it easier to place around the truck and go to work :D. Just lightly rub the Shmitt in strait lines w/ no pressure, let the foam and soap do the work, unless I get a tough bug spot or something. This thing has cut down on swirls tremendously compared to Chenille or Sheepskin, almost two months later and truck still looks like I just polished it, with the other two items after a couple months very faint swirls would appear even with careful washing.

I've used my buddies Foam Gun a bunch and love it, it's on my next order, not sure why I never ordered one? Duragloss 901 and Poorboys SSS foam like crazy in the gun, I think I'm gonna hold a nakie foam partY in the back yard, girls only :D
