Thanks so much for all your input, this forum has been super helpful. I've learned about a few new products, and more importantly this has gotten me to think through my entire routine end to end.
I decided to jump on the rinseless bandwagon for this year. I'll probably still use a hose to do a quick spray down before washing, but I saw a tip to put a bunch of microfibers in a wash bucket, and I can pull that out as needed. If the car is pretty clean, I can just head to the garage and start washing right away without setting up the hose. I can probably mix up a 4-6 washes worth in a single bucket, so that's time savings from prepping the wash solution vs. regular wash (have to do every time). Looks like I'll even up the wash frequency to twice per month per car, since it's easier (and it'll get less dirty the more frequent I wash!). Also love the fact that I can use the same concentrate to use as a detailer, just simplifies things.
The WOWA sealants like BFCS and Opti-Seal is perhaps the biggest eye opener to me. Not having to break out the PC (and clean and wash those pads) is huge, and not having the final buff off of the residue is just another way to save time. Seems like most people are happy with the performance, and since this is now a 15 minute process (with just a bottle and an applicator in hand!), I don't mind sealing more often so product durability is less important. From my research, I should be able to get 1-2 months easy, and I've decided maintenance/spray wax won't be needed since sealing is now just as easy as detailing. Again, product simplification is great!
Lastly, I've decided against the AIO since sealing is now so much easier and does not need a PC. Seems like it's good practice to always combine claying and polishing. I'm still hopeful that I don't need to do this but once a year per car, and will choose an appropriate, dedicated swirl remover at that time. I also bought the Nanoskin sponge to test out, and if it works well can go with the mitt later to save even more time. But until then, I'm content using standard clay.
Blackfire's rinseless concentrate and crystal seal happened to be on sale, had good reviews, and so it was a no brainer to buy those.
Hope you all agree this seems like a good approach for more frequent but simpler and faster maintenance, and that overall results will be decent.
