Congrats on the getting the Festool ;)
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this tool once you get a chance to use it. What pads and backing plate will you use?

I have heard that Flex tools...a subsiduary of Porter Cable is bring a machine to the US market called the XC 3401 VRG....suppose to be here in fall sometime....may be why the PC is slowly being phased out...

it has the longest throw of any RO..8mm..and is claimed to be almost vibration free due to its direct drive system...

its sorta like a Rotary where you have speed control in the trigger also...you set your desired speed on a speed knob...and with the trigger you can vary the speed when needed....

the only draw back for some is the backing plate is just for velcro pads....

it is on the European market now...and I believe some one from Sweden has one....I would like to here more on it myself from a user
