LSP recommendations for silver paint

A very special friend is Looking to try something different than his regular Zymol Concours or Zymol Glasur. He is looking for something that would look really glossy and wet on silver paint. He is thinking of Souverän but since I havent used it I don't have a personal opinion.

All recommendations are welcome, and if any additional info is needed I'll be happy to elaborate a bit more. It's a very special car...

Prep is 99% of the final look, a well prepped car will look amazing in Poorboys or Royale, most people would be hard pressed to tell a difference.

That said, I have had great luck on silver with Blackfire Midnight Sun. It is well priced (unlike Fuzion) and lasts for a few months (unlike Souveran). Honestly it looks amazing on every color. If you want to go the extra mile you could do the Ice over fire as it's call which is one coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant topped with a layer of Blackfire midnight Sun. Hope that helps!

Most is all prep work. Many less expensive waxes look as good as expensive ones. Other things to consider are durability, how easy to use, etc.

Fuzion is now cheaper than Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba per ounce.

Fuzion is $175.00 for 8oz plus 8oz free refill so 16 total ounces. $10.94/oz
Blackfire Midnight Sun is $79.99 for 7oz . $11.42/oz (with free applicator and buffing cloth)

You don't know how many cars they have so don't assume anything.

Price per ounce can be important to some people so it is good information.

Maybe they have several cars that needed maintained. Maybe they are planning on maintain there families, friends, etc.

All of the info, including yours, is important.

Blackfire sealant and wax is a great combo. Fuzion is as well. And there are many others

The wife's Silver Pilot always looks amazing after a coat of DODO Diamond white hard followed by a coat of DODO light fantastic soft.

I understand that silver paint is silver paint... but sometimes, whether we want to admit it or not, some cars set different rules in a game.

Im not trying to make a impression here, cause after all, it's not my car;

but would it make a difference if the car we are talking about is this one ?

I would also like to add that the car is just a few months old, no dealer ever set hands on it for any reason, and well maintained in a garage with very few kms.

So the finish is really good to begin with. If at all necessary one pass with PO 85RD will do the trick...

Might wanna consider doing a sealant/wax or maybe even a permanent coating.

You beat me to it...

I would Opti-Coat it. I believe you can apply a wax on top for more warmth if you desire. Opti-coat is permanent so the paint should be perfect before applying. It looks really good too from what everyone says.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant and Wolfgang Fuzion would make it look amazing also.

Money can always an issue. :laughing:The car is less than a year old. I might do one pass with Menzerna PO 85RD on a HT crimson pad if the owner chooses so.

I like the idea of a sealant/wax combination. Recently I saw a stunning Mustang with 3 coats of Fuzion and 1 coat of Souveran. Seriously dripping wet. But I do not know how these will look on a silver paint job. Thats why I was kind of hoping for a recommendation on something specifically on silver paint.

Sealants are more glossy looking.

Might also wanna checkout Ultima Paint Guard Plus. The easiest sealant to use, super durable. Layer it 3 times and it will look dripping wet. Then add Fuzion and it will blow you away.

Of course there are plenty of great products out there.

No doubt. They are many products out there. That mustang Ive seen had a coat of CG Blacklight, 3 coats of Fuzion and 1 coat of Souveran. It was insane!!!

I would also like to say that I understand and know the importance of prep work. I will inspect the paint carefully and act accordingly in terms of polishing first.

I just put two coats of Dodo Hard Candy and one coat of Light Fantastic on my silver Acura and it looks great. I just ordered some Jeffs Werkstatt to try, from what I have read it's supposed to be really good on silver cars.

Thanks a lot. I haven't tried Blackfire before but it does seem very popular especially in that sealant/wax combo.

From everything I've read, Glasur is a very, very good wax, and you'd be hard-pressed to find one that would better it.
