LSP safe tire cleaner

Greetings!

I've got a question that's probably been asked and answered 1000x before. But I'm running a bit late and can't really do a thorough search of these forums.

Is there an OTC tire cleaner that won't strip wax/sealant if over-spray gets on my car's finish?

I'm not too concerned with the wheels. They're stock steel rims.

Just coated with BFWD last week, and plan on appyling a second coat today. I guess that it's fully cured by now. LOL

Can anyone shoot some suggestions my way? I'd be much obliged.

I would recommend using your ph neutral car wash shampoo ( the rule of " least aggressive product first" ) IF this is not strong enough I would use P21S wheel cleaner or Sonax full effect wheel cleaner both are ph neutral as well and should not strip wax if you get a little overspray. Speaking of overspray you can use a EZ detail brush, dip it into your shampoo or spray your cleaner onto it and then wash your wheels, that should remove any risk of overspray.

OC your rims. Best thing I ever did.

Just use some car soap or leftover ONR that I pour into my wheel bucket and save for the start of the next wash...

If you keep your wheels waxed or coated, regular car wash soap and a good wheel brush is all you should need.

Your best bet is to use a quality APC and just spray carefully around the tire. A little over spray shouldn't affect the BF.

I just now had a chance to do a follow-up on this thread.

Big mahalos to everyone who chimed in with tips and product recommendations. I appreciate the help greatly!

Used ONR solution, since least aggressive is always recommended first. If that does not clean tires, I'll use a good APC and spray carefully around tires, being careful not to let dwell on my car's finish. Scrub and rinse. Voila!
