So I went to visit my cousin who works at the local Advanced Auto Parts store, and i came a cross a 75% off table and low and behold this is what I found.

I was kinda shocked I didn't think you could find collinite in an auot parts store, anyway I wound up buying all three left for only $9.00, awesome.

I do have one question, what do you guyz use this the most for, i was thinking of using it as a base seal, i have heard that its pretty good stuff. I just never used it before, so any advice.

PS. has anybody ever read the back of the bottle, apparently it can be used in electrical applications, crazy.

Oh...... just wait until Al sees this one! Yep... you got a great product! I am using it as a winter wax over my seal.

It's actually a great wax. Very durable, just make sure you apply it very thin. For super easy application set it in some warm water for a little while, it will thin it out and be easier to apply. Wait until you see the beading from this stuff!! Great catch. I'm heading there today!!! lol..

Advance has carried 845 for a while now.

This is a great wax, and at $3 a bottle, it's a steal! It offers strong durability for a carnauba wax (3month+), and can be used as winter protection. I still prefer it to be a topper for a good sealant for winter protection, for harsh winters/snow. Apply it very thin, let it haze, then remove with a MF towel.
You will love this wax!

What a Find! Great stuff.... I've used it for several years on lots of cars, but now use it on all the BMW wheels I do at the shop.

Be SURE to shake the contents until the Insulator Wax is watery. With a new bottle, you might have to put some in another container to make that happen. I mean...really shake it for a couple of minutes.

And what everybody else said: apply a thin coat!

Good find Sir!

Wow.. Great find! I may have to check advance. I've never noticed it there, but haven't really looked either!

I get lucky like that at the hardware shop ... always visit the clearance table or shelves.

You can find Collinite at any Marine store here, thats where I got my stuff originally. Usually the auto-part stores don't have some of the products where the normal car products are, they usually keep it with the electrical stuff or Marine section by itself.

And durable as hell, I have 845 and 915. 845 if I recall was made for electrical companies to use, just happened to work well on paint I guess lol.

Wicked find, they have it here at Advanced Auto Parts as well, I should drop by to see if I can find it on sale as well!

Well looks like I stumbled across something good, can't wait to give it a try, thanks for all the replys.

Great find on the wax....very good price on the wax....you can use it as a topper on a sealant....or even use it alone with another wax topper to add some different looks to it....you will enjoy them...

I use it on wheels..best wheel sealant going....no brake dust sticking to it....and i use it on glossy black trim..no staining....

I used it on the windshield once to see what happened...well after awhile due to the alcohol content in washer fluid it began to show streaks at night and also wiper blades chattered........

always shake them before use till they are just about semi watery in consinctecy...

great find....have fun.....

Al
