We've got some snow coming today so no details on the docket. May as well post a thread.

Hill City Auto Detail (VR8) teamed up with O.C. Detailing (adrock2003) for this job. A '98 Jeep that was in need of some serious cleaning! The initiative for the detail was to get it ready to sell.

The interior had not seen clean for many years! Sun had faded many of the plastic areas.

Pretty typical for a Jeep I think that the carpet has been wet/dried/wet/dried multiple times over its years. We didn't find a clean spot on this thing! Even under the carpets...

After washing (with a scrub brush) we saw we had quite the chore ahead of us with the paint as well.

Of course no one had touch the motor, except the mechanic, for years.

On to the "afters":
Motor was cleaned with Meg's Super Degreaser, Purple Power and APC. Meg's Hyper Dressing to finish.

Interior: Cleaned with 4:1 Meg's APC, Meg's Carpet and Upholstry Cleaner, carpet brush on a Porter Cable and a Mytee extractor.

Then we pulled it outside for some exterior shots.

Paint was corrected with Clay bar, Meguiar's #95, followed by Meg's #82 and a coat of NXT 2.0.

Nice ending to the story. The Jeep sold the next week!

Must have been one heck of a party they had in that Jeep! Great work guys, the interior looks brand new and the paint, to use my favorite expression, POPS

No way that is the same jeep! You guys just took some photo's of a heap and brought in a new one for the afters, didn't you ;) Awesome work guys!

Very nice work guys. Hey, I used to live in Christiansburg, so reading your post is like bringing me back home...

Just a quick question...what dressing did you use on the fenders and trim? Those look brand new again! :props:

I went to school in Radford, lived in Blacksburg during another stint and now live in NC as well.

AWESOME job on the JEEP!!!

I did one of these for a friend as a favor so that he could sell it for that little bit more and they do actually come back very well considering the fact that most just get beat on.

Great turnaround though, its amazing what a bit of TLC will do for a car!

Thanks for looking and complimenting. I'm not a big fan of all the small sized areas on a Jeep like this. We split the job between buffer sizes. Adam used his full size pads on his Grios and I did all the little nooks and crannys with a 3" pad on my Porter Cable. Lots a areas where you can tear your pads all to heck also!

I've recently started using Gold Class Trim Detailer from Meg's upon a recommendation from Mike. It's been a great product.

WOW nice work!!! :urtheman:

How long did it take you guy's to complete this job?

We started a little late one day (about 11:00am), worked till 5:00 on the wash, interior clean and engine clean. Returned the next day to spend 4 or 5 hours on the exterior.

This jeep was filthy. We worked what magic we could on it though and got it to where it is now. Thank you all so much for the kind words! It's so inspirational and makes me want to keep polishing out cars.

It still impresses me more to see a daily driver worked on then a high end car. I would have bought it too looking like that. Beautiful!

Man, I think you just took about 10 years off that Jeep! Beautiful job! :dblthumb2:

Man you guys are GOOD, I guess it is a Jeep but how can anyone let their vehicle go so far. Yuk

I hear ya. Makes me wonder how in the world people can drive around in that much trash on a daily basis. It reveals a side of people that we don't often see too.

I guess that's why I love this biz. Daily satisfaction with a finished product.

WOW, great job and amazing turn around. That detail diffently brought the value of the jeep up.
