M105 and M205.... Not For Me!

I agree...there junk...send them to me for proper disposal :hungry:

205 has finished flawlessly every time I've used it. Though I do use a DA. Maybe a white pad is too hard to finish with on that specific paint with a rotary.

I like 205 so much I just bought another quart. 105 is another story though, I'd like to replace it with another polish when I run out.

How is the working time of Powergloss compared to 105, and does Powergloss produce much dust compared to 105?

The entire line of Menzerna blows Megs away, I have been using Menzerna for about 2-3 years now.....nothing comes close to the end results

I respectfully disagree. I also use many Menzerna products, but have to say with proper technique I find m105/m205 an unbeatable combination...

I would say longer than 105, depending on how primed your pad is and how much or less of it you use, i find I can remist the pad once or twice to reactivate it on each section I work, less compound used, but of course have to put more when moving on to the next section.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

if your other product combo works and your complaint list is so minimal, keep using it.

this is why i stick with optimum ####. i literally have no complaints whatsoever, so why try something else? it is sensational.

Im sorry but a blanket statement like this is not only wrong, but it jus makes you sound like you don't know what you are doing. Like I said I love some of the menz stuff, and I love some of the megs stuff. But to say the whole menz line blows megs away is moronic. People need to learn how to use these products before they complain about them.

Kudos!!! Thanks buddy!!! I needed one in the win column on this one, lol.

Win???:dunno: How is this a win?? I don't understand?? I thought we were sharing are opinions here. Just because you and a few others can't seem to get what the rest of us can out of 105/205 certainly does not warrant a win of anything, for anyone... I agree with "builthatch", if something else works for you and you can't get 105/205 to work for you, then by all means keep using what does work for you. Just remember that MANY GREAT detailers use 105/205 everyday with incredible results:props:

Soooo... for those who have used both... how does SIP or PowerGloss compare to M105 in terms of cut, dusting, and working time?

I only have one thing to ad.....

Find a product you like and use it often :buffing:

Hey, thats pretty catchy. If anyone would like to borrow this line from me sometime, be my guest

Regards,

TOGWTF

I've used both and while the PG is a nice product with a longer working time and less dust than 105, it didn't have near enough cut to remove the defects in the C-5 Corvette that I worked on not too long ago. 105 cleaned them right up. I'll take the dust and the need for technique in using 105 to enjoy getting through a paint correction in less time.:xyxthumbs:

Calm down, just making a little joke, and yes everybody has there own opinion, and im glad this stuff works for some, just seemed to be getting a little heated, dont want to cause a fuss.

and just to ad im not harping on Meguiars, god knows I love the majority of their products and have for some time, some just cant be beat, plus you can find a lot of them in local auto stores.

Why do people do an IPA wipe down- when chemist have said the the IPA will soften the paint?

I was working on a 2010 BMW 328i and used Menzerna PO203, the strongest cutting polish in my stock. It was not doing much, so I went after M105 and it was able to correct the paint as BMW clear coat was tough as nails. I followed with M205 and it just sparkles.

I am going to get PG and SIP from menzerna and give those a try. I am hoping to pair PG with PO106FA or SIP with PO85RD as a comparable to M105/M205...
