xp doesnt have enough power to really cut with wool.
:iagree:
-Could try The "Meg's Micro Fiber System" with the PC.
Or, after diagnosis of paint's needs, what I've found to work for me (not set in stone either

)
After the usual wash/dry; clay or decontamination; then:
Heavy Correction
Step 1.) Use an orbital buffer with poly-wool or foam cutting pad with one of four compounds [fine, light, medium, heavy, using least aggressive first].
2.) Buffer with a foam polishing pad with a swirl remover
3.) Buffer with foam polishing pad and finishing polish
4.) LSP of choice by hand, orbital, RO, or DA
Medium Correction
1.) Buffer with foam polishing pad with swirl remover
2.) buffer with foam polishing pad and finishing polish
3.) LSP as above
Light correction
1.) Buffer with foam polishing pad with swirl remover/ finishing polish
2.) LSP as above
This is, to me, the easiest and most effective way for paint correction. This also allows the customers to be educated, if they so desire, on the "costs" charged for services rendered accordingly.
*Remember that Mr. Mike Phillips has many articles on using the PC and similar machines for correction and many, me included, have followed through accordingly. Just seems to take a little longer for me to accomplish a correction this way, that's all.
Good luck on the Corvette--make it look as good as
BobbyG's and
Mark's.
