M105/M205 or Power Finish on Black LS400?

I have a correction coming up this weekend that will involve a pretty heavily swirled Lexus. The car has been polished by a dealer at some point in it's like, meaning crazy holograms.

My plan of attack is M105 on White or Orange, then M205 on Green. Sealing with M21.

Would Menzerna Power Finish be a better polish? I've heard it said that it eliminates a finishing step... but will it have enough cut to tackle 10 years worth of swirls?
 
All cars are different so it will depend on the condition, paint, etc.

You just have to do a test spot and see.

I know.

I guess what I was trying to ask was is Power Finish THAT much better than the Meg's combo?

Power Finish is a great product as a stand alone, but comparing it to a 105/205 combo (multi step) is an injustice

If this paint is as jacked up as you say, I would without doubt break out the 105. What machine and pads are you using?

That's what I was thinking, but I had heard wonderful things about Power Finish.

I'm using the PCXP and I have a full range of CCS pads.

Try the power finish first with either a yellow or orange pad. If your customer is close by, have them take a look and see if that satisfies them. Better yet, just do a 50/50 on the decklid and see which way they want you to proceed. Explain the multi step process compared to single step $

Defineatly tell them if they continue to do what they've been doing their going to end up with the same results they have now

I agree with a test spot or test spots. Power Finish is great but if it has 10 years of swirls, I would be willing to bet that you will need the 105. The only true way is to try a spot first.
 
I'm more than likely going with the 105/205 combo, I'm not sure Power Finish would get to me in time.

i would have both megs and menz-just never no whats goin to work,what works on monday might not work on tuesday

Isn't that what makes this super fun? Its almost like each car is a jig saw puzzle :bash:
 
I would test spot the 205 also. I had it leave marring on black toyota paint with a gray pad. All paint is different.
