I'm going to be using Lake Country new Microfiber pads.

Order multiple pads...at least a half dozen.
Especially since you're using an AIO in the process.
Cleaning on the fly is great, but consumes time.
2-3 Mf pads for a novice may be cutting it short...better over supplied than under supplied.

But if you're detailing over several days or so, disregard.

I'm going to be using Lake Country new Microfiber pads. They is just one pad for both compounding and polishing. I saw them advertised on this site and have been reading up on them a little. They are supposed to be better than the MF pads that are supplied in the Megs MF kit

My opinion, based on everything I've read - foam still finishes better than the MF pads, so for final polishing, I would think that you'd want to go with a finishing foam pad instead of an MF pad.

Would you recommend a black pad with 205
