Sorry, I know the M105 horse has been beat to death over and over.
when used with a rotary or by hand, it is there a significant practicle difference between the new formula and the new one (DA approved)
I just ordered a quart of it from my local paets store and when it arived it was the old formula :(

The new is more user friendly as it can be used with a Da/rotary/.If you recieved the old 105 i really don't think you will be able to use it by hand that's why Megs came out with the new 105.As far as ordering it from a local place instead of Ag you now see your mistake. You may be able to trade it with someone on here for the new 105 .That would be your best way out unless you can return it.

The old one apparently had more cut than the new formula. From my experience with a rotary and foam or wool pads it is about equal to the cut Menzerna Power Gloss gives.

My belief is that there is no difference in either formula other than the sticker on the bottle. I have the old formula and have used it by hand and with my DA several times. Meguiar's realized their mistake when it launched and how popular it was so they changed the label to sell more. Just my opinion but nobody ever argues it : )

The old version has more cut and a quicker working time than the new version, it does not have anything to do with a label. It does have to do with people not being able to figure out how to use the first version so they tried to make easier for those having trouble with it.

I like the old version more...it has just the right amount of cut. I haven't noticed lesser amounts of dusting with the new formula, and the old one worked fine with a DA so I think they should have just left it alone.

I'm having extreme difficulties with the New 105 on my Flex DA. It wants to try way to fast, no matter how hard I try to prime the pad well.. Not sure what the deal is.

Actually, the old formula is fine for hand application. It was DA use that was the problem.

Maybe Meguiar's should follow Coca Cola's example: sell both versions--M105 Classic and M105. I wonder which formula would win.

Indeed :( . Thanks for the help folks, I guess I'll just use up this bottle and compair it to the new stuff myself. I was under the impression that new 105 blew the old stuff out of the water, but I guess thats not the case.

I was really annoyed about how they handled the whole situation. People complained and complained about losing old Coke and never gave New Coke a chance, even after countless blind taste tests showed most people actually preferred New Coke. I remember on 20/20, they interviewed some guy who spent $50,000 of his own money to campaign against New Coke. They gave him a taste test between New Coke, Old Coke and Pepsi. The guy couldn't even tell the difference between any of them! What a schmuck.

i still think it's just the label. The "old one" worked fine by rotary and by hand but NOT for DA??? Now they've tweaked it and it works great by DA, so great, that a dude named Kevin Brown is famous?

c'mon

I didn't even know there was a new Coke, I guess I need to get out more lol Im the MAN
