M205, any reason to change?

If all 3 cars are in good condition and M205 is doing the job, why would he jump from a finishing polish to a compound? FG400 has more than a little more cut. I know FG400 finishes well, but why remove more clear coat then necessary?

Thats exactly what I wanted to say. FG400 has more cut than M205. Always use the least aggresive product gentlemen.

I've achieved the same finishing results with the much cheaper and faster M205 as I have with the much more expensive and longer working time with P4500.

M205 with a bit if practice can achieve incredible results. I use a short working time with very aggressive pressure and with me time, and cost of product are money in my pocket.

I am a huge fan of 205. I bought a gallon of it last time. I am curious to try two worthy contenders: HD Polish and Perfct Finish. PF is only available at one place online, but that's going to change shortly. I'm waiting for the new distributor to make my order.

I use sf4500 once a year. If the paint is in great condition then their is no need to use a more aggressive polish.

:xyxthumbs::iagree: FG has tons more cut

SF4500, Perfect Finish, and HD Polish I consider finishing polishes, as in nothing but LSP goes after it. 205 is more if a mid range polish, and can be followed by any one of the aforementioned finishing polishes (if necessary, which usually isn't the case with harder clears). With that being said, I think 205 has more cut than any of the other three polishes, given the same pad, speed, etc.

I remember when M205 was given to me by the chemist who blended it and poured it off into a lab sample bottle to let me Nick Chapman test it out on the Batmobile...

It's a very good fine cut polish.

We also used it before after M100 and before SF 4500 in my class last weekend...

Have you thought about trying Meg's UC and follow it up with M205?
