I had a full detail at the autogeek shop back in September. We use the M105 and M205. Getting it ready for detail fest next weekend. I used the M205 only and it looks awesome. How often can you use M205 since there is a some cutting agent in it?

I would only use it when needed, use it only to remove swirls

What do you recommend for a finishing polish that will make the paint pop like this stuff does?

So are you looking for a polish to replace m205 and/or with less cut? You can always reduce the cut/correction but still increase gloss by using finishing or finishing pads. HD finish polish and Optimum finish polish are two polishes with less cut but should increase gloss. Are you using a DA polisher?

You can surely use 205 with a finishing pad to adjust the level of cut, blue, black or lighter and it'll do more of a finessing.

But.... for even higher level finessing you should really add Ultimate Polish to your products. It has less cut than 205, has a ton of polishing oils, works as long as you care to work it, and really finishes out nice.

Try using Menzerna 4500 with a finishing pad (LC black).

^This... or if you really don't need much cut at all, but want to pump as much gloss as possible - use a LC Crimson Pad with the SF4500.

i wouldnt replace 205 just use a finishing pad to reduce cutting. if you wanna even less cut Ultimate polish is the way to go.

Theres no need for SF4500, you want less cut? Switch to a finesing pad and lay off the pad pressure. Want even less cut? Step down to Ultimate Polish.

Ultimate Polish > SF4500

Another nod for Megs Ultimate Polish with a black foam finishing pad. It's a fraction of the cost of Menz polishes and it works twice as fast. Slow arm speed on setting 3-4 on a PC with good pressure will take 2-3 passes per section.

Ultimate Polish > SF4500

CM8, what makes you say Ultimate Polish is better than SF4500? I'm curious because I was thinking of picking up some SF4500 for finishing and soft paints.

SF4500: $35-40
Ultimate Polish: $9.99

Both work exceptionally well on soft paints, both finish down to a high gloss finish. Some argue that M205 doesnt finish well on soft paints like Porche. To those I say, step down to UP with a finesing pad, and call it a day. Why spend 35-40 bucks on a product when I can get the same results with a "cheaper" product? Its all in the technique, pad pressure and pad type that determines the level of cut or burnishing your polish can achieve. You can get whatever polish works for you, but if Porche is as ridiculously soft as my Honda's paint, I never had UP or M205 not finish down well. Apparently some kids still have alot to learn abour finishing compounds.

That's the thing about kids though, they are always learning.;-)
Just to be clear for anyone reading this thread, Menz SF4500 is $45/32oz. and Meg's UP is $9/16oz.

LoL that would still put you at $20 dollars for a total of 32 oz vs $45 dollars for Menz. Sorry Shaun, better luck next time :)

I didn't know Meg's UP was so good. Only if I've ran into this thread when I ordered some Menz SF4000. Would have save me some money for other detailing stuff.

Is there much of a difference between ultimate polish and m205? I have m205 and i think it seems to finish out great, but I will be polishing my black lexus sometime this week and if ultimate polish can make it look that much better, maybe ill step it to ultimate polish after m105 and m205?!

To be honest up vs sf4500 on a da is not much difference. The sf4500 excels with forced rotation.
Since you said you have a pc up will be the best bang for your buck.

Better luck on what? Was just clarifying the price difference, which is about .844¢ more per ounce of Menz.
