M205 Replacing Everything in My Cabinet!

I've always been a menzerna guy. My 3 step jobs consist of SIP, SF and PL or a high quality wax if its garage kept. My 2 step are PF and PL. I've always been interested in trying the megs combo. For those who have used both products where do the to brands line up? Meaning, is 205 similar to menz SIP or PF? How much of a difference can I expect to make me want to make the jump? I know both are very high quality products and at the end of the day you have to go with what your comfortable with, but I've always been interested in giving it a try.

Just a couple of days ago Richy had me all excited about the results he was getting using DG 501. Which would you rate higher, and what a the differences?
I'm still soaking up board wisdom, sorry if this is a ridiculous question.
No, it's not a silly question. Both products are very different animals. The 205 is a polish with zero protection. 501 is a paint cleaner with a strong polymer sealant aspect to it. Whenever I'm doing an OG job, I can't use the 501 on it as you can't have a sealant under it. For white or silver, definitely the edge goes to 501. For dark colours, I'd use 205...or both with 501 going last if you're planning on using a wax or sealant. Hope that helps.

The only thing that matters is what you like. I used to be a Menzerna guy, now I'm a diehard Megs twins user. What I would suggest is to bum a small sample of 105 and 205 from someone and try them. Now, there IS a learning curve using them. Once you "get" it, you might be like me and just leave the Menzerna on the shelf.

I too use Menzerna SIP and 106fa (I think it is called 4500 now). I have tried 105 and don't really like it MORE than SIP, it is just different. I haven't noticed a drastic difference in cut either.

So, I am out of 106fa and have never tried 205, was wondering if I should pick up 205 this order since it sounds like a more versatile product with more (?) Cut than 106fa while almost finishing down as well? Is that correct? If so, I may want to try it on those attributes alone. And then I hear it is user friendly, sounds even better!

I think I will get a small bottle of each and give it a shot. I haven't used anything else to compare my mez to, but I know the mez stuff is super easy to use and gives me good results. I will give the megs a shot and report when I get the chance in its own post. Thanks guys
