This M45 belongs to a good friend of mine who had me detail it for him last year. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it clayed since it sits outside 24/7. I polished using XMT 360 which I know works wonders on metallics..especially with Metallica playing in the background!!! As usual, a damn fine cigar supplemented the effort.:righton:

The Process:

Exterior:

Wash
Clay with Clay Magic
Wheels done with ARO
Tires with DG gel
Wheels sealed with DG 105.
Wells with Crappy Tire Shine
Paint compounded with XMT 360, orange pad, UDM @ 6
Misc scratches done with SIP, Rotary, wool pad
DG 501 applied/removed by hand
DG 601 applied by hand
DG 105 applied/removed by hand
AW
Exterior trim treated with Mothers Back to Black
Glass with Stoners IG and 2 step MFs

Interior:
Mat stains treated with Folex
Mats cleaned and power-washed
Interior vacuumed complete
Plastic cleaned with Woolite/H20 1:10
Door jams cleaned with Woolite 1:10
All plastic and leather surfaces treated with 303 Aerospace
Wood treated with 303 Aerospace

this is a sweet detail... man i love those houses in the background. U a drug dealer or something?!?:D

That car started out pretty good so I thought how much can richy do to this one. Then I saw the first "after". Wow, you really made it bling. Still like the wide stripes too.

:goodpost:Excellent job Richy. What kind of camera are you using? Those photos are the best I've seen.

I was thinking the same thing. Every time he posts I end up looking at the houses more than the cars.

Nice work as always richy! :D Love how the silver looks, very nice!

Sweet flip on that Infinity!! Richy you do some awesome work!! How did the like the application of the 105 and 501? Those pics really look good !!!

Very nice write up and detail. The paint looks very pure. The wheels are so freaking clean!!!

Thanks for posting!

Excellent work as usual, and thanks for the write-up!

Good job richy, you keep doing a bang off a job on the vehicles, well done buddy. I've found that silver is a very rewarding paint if done properly, you can actually get nice depth on silver and the it to look/feel so smooth. Well done....but yea your neighborhood wow incredable houses buddy...looks like they are castles rather then houses lol.

Thank you for sharing

Great job! Nice shine and reflections off that silver. Those were some brown tires! They're looking great now. You used DG gel on the tires?

Dust..thanks..about the house..I'm a very lucky man. My wife was a (still is IMO) a beauty queen (Miss Windsor '88) and also she is an executive with the schhol board and makes about $30 K more than me a year. Not that we're loaded by any means..we're not..got big bills like everyone else, but we do like our house. We lived in a little 1000 sq ft one for 12 years..we just missed the middle step!

That car started out pretty good so I thought how much can richy do to this one. Then I saw the first "after". Wow, you really made it bling. Still like the wide stripes too.
Jimmie...thanks for the "bling" comment! The wide stripes rock..the customer loved it:D.

Rsurfer..Thank you sir. It's funny you comment on the camera. It's a 4 year old 3 MP Fuji. The new Fuji
S8000fd is out and I am waiting a month or so till it goes on sale to replace the old one. The old one has duct tape holding the battery door closed!!

I was thinking the same thing. Every time he posts I end up looking at the houses more than the cars.
2KLS1..Dude look at the cars!! Maybe I'll have to get a hot nude supermodel to give a further distraction!!:righton:

Very Nice job...everything came out great....the Silver paint looks like water....and also the houses are nice....the nude model may help LOL....

Again Great Job....very fine work

Justin..thanks for the compliments..I love the work you do!! I hated to see the BS you went through a while ago at the other place :( The write-ups are educational for me and I think people can learn a lot about different products and see the results first hand..they are definitely worth it! The wheels were pretty good to begin with, so it allowed me to take them to another level.

Excellent work as usual, and thanks for the write-up!
P1et..thank you sir..very nice to be recognized by your (talented) peers!!

Carlos..thanks a lot man!! I know you care as much as I do and are as OCD as me about the final product. Thanks on the house as well..here's a teaser for ya..I bought a portable a/c unit and installed a beautiful venting system for it; I'm gonna post pics/description later tonight.

nice work Richy..
Joe..thank you very much. You usually comment on my details, and I really do appreciate it!!

Great job! Nice shine and reflections off that silver. Those were some brown tires! They're looking great now. You used DG gel on the tires?
Alban..from another dude who regularly comments on my work..thanks again! ARO works wonders on the tires and the DP gel rocks big time. I refrained from adding "I love this stuff" after the description this time. I think I have posted that comment twice now.

M45, huh? Very nice job! Love that car!
Supercharged..another regular commentator of mine..thanks so much! I got to drive it to my house in wet weather..has that car got a big set of cojones!!

Very Nice job...everything came out great....the Silver paint looks like water....and also the houses are nice....the nude model may help LOL....

Again Great Job....very fine work

Al..from the man responsible for the DG craze here at AG (along with Sparkie too)..this is definitely my new go-to stuff!! I just have to use up the remainder of the other quickly.
Your advice to me and others is always much appreciated! You ROCK sir!:righton:
