Ok guys and gals, my first show n' shine...

This is my brother-in-laws 2003 M5 - the dealer had it "detailed" before deliver but it still had swirls. Been looking forward to doing this one for him and finally got the chance last weekend.

Wash: Megs Gold Class mixed strong

Clay: Pinacle Ultra Poly Clay & Lube

Polish: XMT3 w/orange pad followed by XMT1 w/white pad

Re-washed: DG 901

Dried: Blower followed by Guzzler

Paint prep: Klasse AIO

LSP: MaxWax

Wheels: P21S gel

Tires: Non AG brand (OTC)

Glass: SIG

Comments and suggestions WELCOME!!!

Pics.....

Before: you can see some of the swirls

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful car, and great work on the detail. You saved another "dealer detailed" car. You have a very lucky brother in law!

Great detail! It's a good thing you could pick up when the dealer dropped the ball. You did a great job making that BMW shine. Seems like the first show and shine for most end up being a black car.

Nice. He had to be pleased with that detail.

sweeeeeeeet, man im such a bmw fan...i touched on one of those cars and fell in love with it...funny thing is, it wasnt a real m5, but he didnt know that my bestfriend is the foreman at Newport Beach BMW so i kinda jus played along and just did the job...

i love the new m5's and can't wait for the m3 to come out!

great job!

Don't mean to hi-jack ur thread, but if you don't mind me sharing =)

ahh lil sis early days as a detailer...board shorts n a shirt =)

Ive seen so many fake M's and AMG's in Socal its not even funny. Most of them are older middle eastern people, its weird.

I got some pics of my wife helping out I should post up

Great job!! Your first Show~N~Shine becareful it can be addicting!

Thanks for looking and for the encouragement. The car is exceptionally fun to drive and much better behaved than his old 911 turbo. :p

Sorry no leg shots this time...;)

It's hard to tell in the pics but this car is actually a very dark metalic blue.

Nice way to start, very nice vehicle and a very nice detail. Good job. The vehicle looks great and you can definitely tell the difference you made to it.

Thank you for sharing.

Funny you mention that, Europe is notorious as well for Middle Easterners driving around in fake M vehicles. They buy the knock-off wheels, slap on a body kit and the badges. Turns out, it's really a diesel! Too funny...

Oh yeah! We have seen that before! Same with Audi S-cars! Many fakes around

M5 looks great! Very nice detail! congrats on your fist show n shine!

haha wow that second one is not even close to an m5 haha (that's not even a 540!)

fake m badges ftl. the least they could have done would be to put on the m-tech kit, put in the fake grill, take out the tbar, and put in quad exhaust.

that is pathetic.

my next car is either an sti, m5 or sc 540.

love those cars!

great job on the detail btw :)

hehe socal man, this is where i grew up! alot of people are fooled which for the most part works, but the main thing that got me was he didnt even change the mirrors...

but yup, anytime u see a debadged bmw or benz round here...they try to play it off as a 550 or e500 when really its a 525 or a e320 haha...but thats okay we all know the truth rite!

Nice job on the bimmer! Did ya get to thrash it around a little bit? Love the M's!!! Those wheels are especially nice.

It belongs to my brother-in-law who is really cool about letting drive whenever I want. He actually encourages me to borrow it sometimes. Personally I drive a truck because I like driving trucks, it takes some time to get use to the feel of such a great handling machine before doing any real "thrashing"
