I just bought a set of machined finish Rockstar XD wheels and they are really dirty and require a lot of elbow grease to clean. What kind of wheel cleaner works best for that type of finish?

Thanks.

^This.

All the machined wheels I have worked on have been clear coated and were a breeze to clean.

Apply some wheel sealant or opti coat to them once clean so they will be easier to clean in the future.

Are they clear coated?

I am not sure, how can I check?

I've had them for about a month now and when I was washing my truck yesterday, the wheels were not coming clean. I had to use a lot of pressure on my finger tip to actually get to the metal on the wheel. My finger was all types of black.

Here are two pics of the front wheel.

I've only worked on one set of KMC's, and they had spokes with machined edges that were not clearcoated. That your finger had some black transfer suggests that yours don't have a coating either. Nonetheless, it might be worthwhile to check first. I didn't see anything on their website, but perhaps contacting them (either through their site, or on their FaceBook page) would be the best route.
