Made in USA vs world

I don't care where it is made. If it is a good product for a good price, I'm happy to buy it. Being made in USA or not does not affect me at all.

My Camaro is made in Canada

Me 2. The companies are looking for cheap labor that's the reason why many products come from China and Mexico too.

It attracts me if a product is made in Germany, Japan, or US (or even NOT China). But for car detailing products it is very rare the country origin makes me decide which one to buy. Only item I remember that I picked up mostly because it is German made is P21S wax. :)

It depends on what I'm buying. Some are from the USA and some aren't. There are things from the usa that I refuse to buy. Such as cars. I've had terrible experiences with American made cars, especially fords.

I always got a kick out of Adams claim that he only sells made in USA products...and people actually believed it. I guess the flex polishers and Chinese and korean MF towels didn't count or else he thought nobody would care...

Actually Adam's has been very forthcoming about products that cannot be sourced from a US manufacturer. In fact I know of at least one product they dropped because the manufacturer
moved production out of the US.

I try to buy USA made when possible, ill never buy a foreign vehicle.

Except if I get bored and have a ton of money to blow.. After I have the other vehicles I desire.. A gt-r would be fun lol

With the globalization of manufacturing, it's very hard to tell where the products are made anymore. Most of the "American Cars" are made in Mexico with parts manufactured in Mexico and China.

Many cars such as Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai and made here in the USA but many of the parts are made overseas...

Tools are pot luck from what I can tell and most are imported from China.....like 98% of everything else we buy.

Made in USA? I remember when it stood for quality and reliability but today it's a mere memory

America with it's insatiable desire and corporate greed is responsible for this mess and it was all bless buy the elected officials you and I put in office. These elected officials are there to support and protect us and this country's future for generations to come....

This about sums it up....

Government Regulated Health Care

If I'm understanding this correctly, we’re going to be gifted with a healthcare plan we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a congress that didn’t read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding, administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted social security and medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that’s dead broke.

I don't think they've done a very good job in my opinion...:nomore:
He is gonna "feed the hungry" through his EBT cards, "cure the sick" through his healthcare plan...and then declare he is God...sounds familiar?

I prefer to buy "Made in U.S.A." products too, but it needs to be clearly labeled (because I will not look for where it's made) and it has to be of similar value to its competition. I still believe American made goods are the best.

This country is great no matter who is President and it will remain great no matter who next becomes President.

I too, prefer to buy US made products if possible. However, I will admit the Flex3401 is a great tool. As far as things being made in China, everyone can thank Wally World for going over there. Frankly I think most of it is junk.

I have done some electrical control wiring at some cotton gins here in AZ.. The way this works is the gin gets the cotton from the farmer, gin's the cotton, bags the cotton, loads it on a truck bound for CA.. The cotton gets loaded in shipping containers, loaded on ships then they sail to China. When it arrives it is unloaded from the ship, removed from shipping containers and processed into whatever cotton products we buy and shipped back to us. Many say it is cheaper than doing that here. I painted my roadrunner in 1985ish at $65.00 a gallon. Today that same paint is $450.00+ a gallon. It is not so much labor costs as some will try to make you think. It is government and EPA regulations. Yes, the same people that shut down all the oil refineries we use to have, so yes it is probably cheaper to have it made somewhere else. Just like CA. that use to have so many companies but with all the regulations they came up with a lot of companies moved out of CA. Some govt. regulation is ok but when they run the country like a dictatorship all you know and love will wither and die. So yes, if I am looking for something and find it made in the U.S.A. I will choose that one over the others.

the reasoning he doesn't want to carry china made goods is not so much only the quality (i personally don't think all products from china are bad/poor quality) overall, but the labor rate the people who are making the product receive as compared to other countries. i could be wrong and if someone knows the true reason(s), please share...

You forgot walking on water.....

The last time I knew the government had no money. Their only source of funding is taxation and borrowing. Taxation means you and I will be giving away more of our hard earned cash to to people that are illegal and don't even take a drug test before reaching into my pocket...:dunno:

I try not to buy anything from china, but thats very difficult. A funny statistic I read yesterday is, I drive the most american made car, toyota camry. It is 80% made in the usa.

What makes more mad that they "fund" it from gas. Obama wants to get on the same page with european pricing world, thus will "encourage" us to go "green". Fine! Start with cigarettes, make them what they cost in London - $20 a pack. But leave our gasoline along! I want everyone to drive a suburban and a range rover! Make gasoline $1 a gallon. Heck, you can smoke out of a tailpipe of your range rover!
