Ive got a PPG Jet Black Base / Clear 1973 Trans Am. I have the exact same issues. (See my recent post about my experience with a light spray ceramic coating to try to reduce micro marring on this fragile paint.)
What I found works best to remove even heavy dust with no marring is to use a rinseless wash - but to pre-spray each panel HEAVILY with a spray wash product to lift / float the dust before gently passing the soaking wet MF pad with rinseless wash on ot. Then dry with super soft, fluffy detailing MF towels. Hope this helps.
