I am usually pretty laid back on things, but I am VERY UPSET...with Autogeek and guess it is time to look elsewhere for my detailing needs! I have been looking/saving and searching for a Rupes LHR15 Mark III
polisher, for months!

I was...Soooo excited to find a Kit...IN STOCK LISTED...on Autogeek, it is/was listed on Blackfire site...but I wanted to use...Autogeek. Come to find out,it is not in stock there either!!!

I get an email, stating its on...backorder, with NO DELIVERY DATE KNOWN!
Could take weeks or even months!

I PASSED, on other deals to get one, too be able to get the deal, from...Autogeek, That was listed...In Stock!

NOW...the others are gone and it will take up to 5 days to get my
..Refund!!!

I am out of a polisher and no idea when I can get one!

How is this a way to run a business?!

This is the...THIRD TIME...that items that were listed...In Stock, had to be put on Back-order!!

Not Happy at all...I am a disabled veteran and it takes me time to save for my needs, I have too rely on businesses online to help as I cannot go out..It is totally disappointing to go to a site and they have it listed as...In Stock,
They take your money and then...Whoops, sorry we have no idea what we are doing...we dont have it and will take 5 days to get a...refund!

Majorly Disappointed!

Autogeek like most retailers is experiencing shortages due to the pandemic.

That is...Understandable and anyone can expect that...especially now!

BUT...To have it listed as...In Stock...That is...Not Understandible! Then to...accept your payment for it, and not have it...Is not...Understandable!

Plenty of others keep their site updated, as to what is or is not in stock, I expected the same from...Autogeek!

I could understand....if when I look and it says...Not Available...Like numerous other items, they have listed as
..Not Available! I would move on and completely...understand!

Yet...when they take your payment and it's not...In Stock.
.can be really upsetting! Then take 5+ days to get a refund?

Just not right in my book!

They have explained this many times on here and over on autopia. It is there internal system and it’s not set up for that. You can ask them the details on it. I vaguely remember myself.

You can always PM Meghan. She is fantastic and will take care of anyone.

The good thing is you are getting your money back. They are also not fully staffed at the moment. This is just how life is at the moment.

For sure living in this age of COVID-19 requires of us all patience, understanding, a new way of doing things and accepting having to do things we do not like or just different. My experience with AutoGeek has always been a positive one, received timely shipments and excellent customer service. Admittedly, I have not ordered anything since the COVID-19 outbreak, as my needs are small and ordered some supplies prior to the outbreak, but I am sure they are doing their best in trying to keep happy customers while learning a new way of doing business.

Firstly, thank you for your service and tremendous personal sacrifice to this great country.

Secondly, I think a little more patience is in order on your part. As mentioned above, these are very different and trying times.

AutoGeek has been wonderful to do business with ever since I first discovered them back in 2013. (I actually just received an order today that arrived in a timely fashion for a facility that is not fully-staffed.)

Also, you kind of made it sound as if AutoGeek "greedily" took your money knowing they were out of stock. I can assure you this is not the case. That is simply not how they operate as a company.

I completely understand your frustration, but I have had the same exact problem on Amazon during this pandemic. It just cannot be avoided.

I hope you have a change of heart about AutoGeek. If not, I wish you luck wherever you may chose to purchase detailing items.

I’m sensing that this experience bothered you, but I ensure you there aren’t many better places to shop for detail supplies. The other places also ran out soon after it appears. This seems to be a Rupes supply/demand issue, possibly more so than AG alone? But I understand the frustration with lagging inventory being shown as stocked.

I’m surprised that the credit card was charged on their end apparently before confirmation the product was in stock?

Thank you for your service, I know your frustrated. Yes, happens, my order is still being processed from several days ago. I’m sure they are under staffed. The way things are, I’m sure it was an error, I often say don’t rely on computers at all. Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll get another deal somewhere, or here Autogeek. I would email them and explain to them, give them the chance to make it right.

I'm a hobbyist and just placed my 25th order today:

Subtotal: $163.91
Tax: $12.71
Shipping: FREE
Coupon Applied [tues25] : ($-22.74)

(25% off except for Mr. Colorchip kit). My average order is between $100-$500+ so I consider myself an experienced customer. I have had issues, snafus, problems with orders, mostly leaks. In no uncertain terms, Autogeek is one of the best mailorder businesses that I deal with. Only Amazon is on par. I am sure they will try to make good on your snafu. Stuff happens. The pandemic doesn't help, either, with supply chain issues. They have never failed to exceed my expectations whenever I have very rarely had an issue with an order.

Their reputation is really their crown jewel. Every snafu is an opportunity for them to delight customers. Please give them a chance to respond.

You're not alone. I've been waiting a month for some pads I ordered from Autopia. My neighbors ordered a coating for me to apply on their car from Autopia as well and they've been waiting six weeks at this point.

They have explained this many times on here and over on autopia. It is there internal system and it’s not set up for that. You can ask them the details on it. I vaguely remember myself.

I vaguely remember hearing about this to as well, but that doesn't make a person feel any better. Most major players in the online retail space have their inventory tied to their storefronts and I'm just surprised this still isn't going on with PBMG.

I fully appreciate the economy and the logistics world is in a strange place. I've been to many retail sites which have many products marked as "out of stock" and I'm OK with that. I'd much rather know from the beginning rather than placing an order and getting an apologetic note a week later and still be waiting for the product many weeks later. I'm just thankful I do this as a hobby and it's too hot right now to do any work anyway.

I’m surprised that apparently credit cards have been charged before the item(s) have been shipped. Although it’s a drag to get an apology that something is out of stock when it was ordered, it can be a big hassle when the item is out of stock and the card has been charged

In other categories I buy in, the vendor charges my card only after the item has been shipped and this saves a lot of grief.

Hello AG Forum...

I am posting today ti let you know...I am...Greatly.... embarrassed at how I replied to the original issue/post.

I am man enuff to admit when I was wrong...and I was wrong!

I am not going to make excuses, but I do hope you can forgive me.

I want to personally, Apologize and Thank, Mike Phillip's and Stephanie, for everything! They stepped up and did, more for me, than any other person/business has ever done and I Greatly appreciate, all their help and understanding!

I would advise anyone who has an issue, just reach out to someone, at AG and I am sure they will do...
Everything...they can to try and help!

I can see now why, Autogeek is a great online community and has such an incredible following!

I hope everyone has a....Happy 4th of July!

Stay Safe and Keep Pushin On!

I forgot to add....

I want to...Apologize...to those who read my original post and were offended/upset by it!

As I said before...I was Wrong...and I hope you can forgive me!

Stay Safe!

Zero offense taken.

Like I stated in my previous post, AG is top notch and I am happy (but not at all surprised) to read that you were taken care of. :)

I ordered a replacement part for my daughters 2016 Altima two weeks ago, the company charged my card then told me it was out of stock and a refund would take 4-5 days. It happens every day with online stores.
