Ah I see. Your correct..I was also going to use this Poorboy's World EX Sealant with Carnauba 32 oz. So unless that one dont count..think we just misunderstood each other :)

Edit: Nevermind I understand now..compound..2 step polish and sealant.

I guess I will chime in. You are incorrect in saying that a 6.5 pad is going to work better than a 5.5 inch pad. Also there is going to be a difference in pad rotation and cut. When the 6.5 pad is being used against the surface it is going to drag more than a 5.5 inch. The one thing you are correct about is technique, don't take this wrong, but you need to work on yours if you think those two different pad sizes work the same.

Also I saw in this thread about 105 and 205. You need to follow up 105 with 205. Trust me it makes a difference.

No. At least not from my experience and I've used this tool quite a bit and usually pushing it to it's limits. It's not a rotary buffer but it can keep a 6" and even a 6.5" pad rotating under normal pressures and that's what a rotary buffer does.

I will also rotate a 7" pad like the Meguiar's Softbuff pads but for any correction work smaller diameters will always rotate better.

Smaller pads and thinner pads rotate better than thicker pads and larger diameter pads on tools with Free Rotating Spindle Assemblies.

Looks like a good start to me. (Maybe Asphalt will look over your list and make any needed recommendations). Do you have grit guards for your two buckets? Do you know what the 2 bucket wash method is?

You started the insults with the BOLD typing...lol :rolleyes:!I know products cost a lot money so do people. But my experience with the DA and both pads tell me otherwise...I guess the pros like Asphalt and Mike have seen the real difference. Not I yet! :buffing:

Grit guards are highly recommended to promote good washing techniques. They will help to protect all of your hard work polishing.

I believe you are mistaken. In my very first post (#7) I only bolded that the OP "will need 2 grit guards and two buckets" and "some XMT pad cleaner". (this was to show what I thought was important items for the OP to get)This had absolutely nothing to do with you or what size pads to use. You resulted to insults w/ RED BOLD typing in post #8 as well as saying it was user error. " Pad size makes no difference - user error does!" :props: It is very easy to go back to the first post and read from there to see when the Bold typing(insults) started.:rolleyes:

Good order, but why didn't save a few bucks and buy some of the Meg's OTC? Did you use a coupon code?

I have some megs OTC...the car wash..paint cleaner, polish and nxt 2.0 wax..I wasn't impressed doing this by hand. My car actually looked worse after spending 8 hours doing this then it did right after I washed it..and I got 15% off as a new member..which is cool I didn't even know I had it at the time till I checked my welcome message :)
