Master Blaster MB-3CD vs 36V Leaf Blower ?

Thanks for all the opinions.

I may grab the 36v Makita from HD and figure out a way to step down the tube into a cone, thereby forcing even more air into a stream of sorts. If it doesn’t work, I hear they take returns. :xyxthumbs:

I would use an ego cordless blower anyday. The master blaster is 400cfm out of a tiny nozzle, where my ego blower is 650cfm out of an opening four times the size.

I have no interest in going back to a cord and hose with a unit that moves less air yet costs twice as much.

I own both. And yes the Ego is a great leaf blower. I’ve used both to dry my cars. Master is much better and easier to use. And the smaller opening of the blaster is more efficient when drying a vehicle.

If this is actually true, then the MB would have a higher velocity (at the nozzle). :)

I disagree from my experience, but I will agree both are viable options in drying a car.

I will take your word for it, math is certainly not my strong suit. I will say four times the size was an eyeball estimate, I’ve never actually measure the openings to both.

i had a master blaster many years ago and sold it. i have said this before in that metro vac needs to go back to the drawing board and create a flexible expandable and locking hose to both the blower and attachments (like the bigboi car dryers) and not a clamp. i use the mckee's turbo dryer and like being able to hold it while not worrying about it tipping over from dragging it around like i would with MB...

That hose was why I didn’t even consider Master Blaster. Very happy with my Big Boi Blowr Pro, even if they can’t spell. :)

Master also works great for many additional projects.
When sanding.
Cleaning my coffee grinder
Cleaning my Dysons filter and inner parts
And on and on
In my 30 yrs of keeping my cars immaculate. This is by far my favorite tool. ( mine heats the air. )
I have use my Ego blower on my cars. The Ego works great for leafs. Highly recommended.
Mentioned earlier. Mine is mounted on wall with extra length hose. Plugged in for easy access
If I had to get it out and plug it in every time. It would be a hassle.
