I'm looking for an inexpensive water based tire dressing that provides a nice satin/matte finish for that new-tire look. I do not want a wet, glossy, or greasy look. I also don't want to spend $30 on some exotic product. I've looked at products locally from value brands such as Meguiars, Mothers, etc..., but they all seem to be advertised as glossy and are all petroleum based. Any suggestions?

I like Carpro PERL and Poorboy’s Bold and Bright Gel.

Poorboy’s gets the nod for the best “looks like a new tire” dressing. No greasy look, nice clean matte look.

CarPro Perl and Gyeon Tire will give that look.

I just recently picked this up from Autogeek. Blackfire Tire Gel is a great water based dressing that leaves a satin finish and does not sling.

This.

Meguiars Silicone-Free Dressing shines and protects rubber, plastic and vinyl with an instant, slick shine.

Hi sir.
I want to like chemical guys VRP but it not longtime. I try Perl 1:1 (trim, plastic and tires) and 1:3 for interrior ? It’s right ?

play around with the dilution to your liking, very versatile product...

Recommend dilution ratio:
External plastics - 1: 3 (1 quantity PERL : 3 quantity water).
Engine – 1:1~3
Tires - undiluted ~ 1:1
Interior rubber / dashboard / leather / vinyl – 1:5

Yes. I read it in perl label
but it not bring great black in plastic. But it slick feels and protection than CG VRP

most all water-based protectants/dressings are going to last a very long time, try it first at 1:1 then straight and see which gives you better results that are to your liking...

PERL I use it 1:1. CG Silk Shine diluted down is really good too with the longevity nod to PERL.

Another vote for Perl and I also use it 1:1 for tires. I apply it to all tires then take a dry foam and wipe off excess on all of the tires.

This is my go to tire dressing. I mix it to get the exact look that I want or my customer wants.
