Matte/Satin tire dressing, recommendations?

Maybe 175 miles, and one rain storm. My beautiful tires now look very sad.

I use to have 4 pieces of 2X10 that I would drive onto. That gave me 1.5" lift above the ground.

I pretty much use the same thing except I have 4-2x6s beveled on one end and cut at 2’ lengths. So you can buy one 2x6, 8 feet long and cut it into 4 two foot pieces.

I drive the car on the blocks before I start, since I do wheels and tires first. This way you don’t have to move the car back and forth to clean and dress the bottom of the tire. I drive the car off the blocks after I apply the tire dressing, which is normally the last thing I do.

Let us know how it goes! I like the ease of applying an aerosol. Anyone know if it's water or solvent based?

Duragloss #253. Applied with a speedmaster tire dressing applicator. Natural look. ZERO Sling off. I have used them all, and will never go back to anything else!

New to the board and just wanted to say that I love how detailed everyone is. I think most people listen to me and roll their eyes.

Quick question, anyone know if a good low profile tire sponge applicator?

Welcome to the forum!

I like these from Carpro. They are not like most in this shape but is quite easy to work with. Control where on the applicator you put the tire dressing on. If the tire applicator don't covers the whole tire sidewall. The lower sharp tip of the applicator is the one I have closest to the rims.
