Mazdaspeed3 or Nissan Maxima

Being engaged with a car is whats fun. Shifting for you takes much of the driving experience out. You can now give any clown a sports car and they can drive it. Granted, not to it's full potential! But before it required a skill to even get it moving. Just sad in my book :(.

I've been waffling on chiming in... I've owned 5 Mazdas in the past 9 years... 2 Mazdaspeed Miatas, 2 Mazdaspeed Proteges, and 1 first gen Miata. Loved them all. Own a MS-Miata and MS-Protege right now.

I equate a Maxima with more of a luxury car. You won't get that feeling from a MZ3, but they are quite well equipped for what they are.

My real reason for speaking up... IF you decide to go with a Mazda, find your local Mazdaspeed authorized dealer with Mazdaspeed trained mechanics. Find the oldest dude (or dudette) in there that is easy to talk to, and ALWAYS ask for that one mechanic. It'll make your life with Mazda 30-billion-elebenty percent better.

The closest mazda service area in my location is an hour away :(

Yes but they are more expensive and you get much less for the price you pay :(

I feel performance wise you get more than what you pay for. My friend just got a 2008 wrx for a very good price. The good deals are out there but you have to search for them.
