I dont know why but carbon fiber is very very hard to paint, it takes them like 3 months to repaint the car.

wow. I don't know about painting carbon fiber, but yeah I'm sure it's definitely different than painting regular cars.

Also the car as so much torque that it twists the frame and the body of the car when you accelerate. I loved the short ride i got in it, i never got to see any thing close to what it could really do, he did spin the tires in second gear while taking a turn:D Its definetly not a car you want to drive around town, the cam shaft has very large lobes so its easy to stall the car and it jerks back and forth between 1k-2k rpm. Its so hard to drive it looks like, there is so much power there that you cant use at times. I tried to race him a bit in my BMW 325ci, well it really wasnt much of a race:p he was coming fast on the left lane, i was on the right, I was going like 35 in a 25, then i droped it into second and hit the gas, he just flew by me at like 50+ I tried to catch up to him but I didnt have the guts to speed a lot on the streets, I cought up to a pack of ferarri's though and stuck with them through the on ramp, once we got on the freeway they went up to like 85, and I dont want to risk a ticket. The police dont really bother the S7 or the ferarris/lambos, but they would hop on my ass like a hobo on a hot sandwich. :o

Did I mention I ran over a few babies while I was speeding? Chill bro, there were not many people on the road, and the speed limit on that road is way to conservative, 2 lanes each side, barrier in the middle. Dont get mad at us guys in the sports cars, you should get mad at the grandma in the prius and the old guy in a caravan for going as fast as we were, I can stop my car from 100-0 in 4 seconds, and on a wet road I can stop my car from 25mph in a body lenght, im sure the saleen much less, now the old lady in the prius and the guy in caravan could not stop any where close to that, they were the real dangers on the road, I could stop in time for almost any thing they could not. the front tires on the prius are like 105mm, mine are 225mm, my contact patch is many times larger than the prius, there fore I can brake many times faster. In that situation the prius and the caravan are the ones you should be mad at. Plus remember that speed limits are set a little back to compensate a little, the guys that make the speed limits arent stupid, they know people are going to speed, so they set it lower, knowing that people will drive 5mph+ over it. Speed limits are not a strict set of rules, they have some flex to them. I cruise with cops going 40+ in a 35, no problems. If cops pulled over every one that went over the speed limit, there would not be any cars on the road. The free way near my house was designed for people to travel 125mph+ on back in the day, its almost like the autoban, but they could not get the speed limit to pass, so its 65 now. Remember there are always gray areas and room for stretch in life, every thing is not set in stone, my friend got cought doing 75 in a 35 on his bike, cop let him go because there was no danger to anybody else at that time. And statisticly you are less likely to get a ticket at night then in the day because there are less cars on the road, see, there is room for gray.

Because at that time I did not have the Festool or menzerna polishes. This is what I would do now, I have a lot more products now.
I'm sorry but you're not making any sense here. You started the Buffer Trail thread on 8/3 that's three days ago. If you going to tell us that you did the second detail on this Saleen awhile ago I'm not buying it for three reasons;
1. Why would do full detail only weeks after the first? The Palo Alto show was at the end of June.
2. Are we supposed to believe that the owner of a car like that took a few weeks to notice the buffer trails on the paint and then called you on it?
3. How does a 17 year old with a limited product selection get a job doing Concours level detailing on a car that has a $50,000 paint job?

You might want to get your stories straight. Are you sure you detailed this car at all? For a guy that has over 740 posts on this board and claims to be a Professional Mobile Detailer you've only posted three Show N Shines and two of them are cars that belong to your friend Rick. Why is that?

Okay, I have only detailed the Saleen one time. Im not sure why you seem to think that I have detailed it more than once.:confused: That answers your first question. for your second question why would I lie about getting buffer trails, what do I have to gain? 3rd question, because I do amazing work, and I know much more and I am much better than people tend to think. I got this job through my friend. His dad heard that I do detailing and that I was thinking of starting a detailing buisness, after talking to me for awhile, he gave me a shot on the Audi RS4, he was pleased with the work I did, so he gave me a job on the Maserati, again pleased, he asked me if I would like to do the S7 for a car show soon, I didnt have a lot of products at the time, and I had not enough money or time to order more products, so i took the job and decided to do what I could. The most that he was going to do before the show was to slap on some 7$ megs wax, and QD it with eagle 1. For all 3 cars I did for him I charged him VERY VERY cheap, because he was helping me get my name out and he was my first customer. Still confused? And if any one doubts that I did this car they can just go online and get the artical, why would I go through the trouble of all this just to lie? And how do you explain all of the pics, including the one of me in the news paper? You can choose to live in your own little world and reject to reality, do as you wish, dont believe me fine.

I am not going to waste my breath on explaining to you what is wrong with this and previous post. I am going to give you an advice though: Lose that arrogance quick before life makes you lose it. I am giving you that advice not because I care whether you pay the price for your arrogance but because I care whether innocent ones would end up hurt by it.

Reserve such manner of talking to people to your own age group and to those that you do know. I am neither and do not appreciate it. This is the first and last time you did it and is the only warning you will get from me on that subject.

Here is a prime example of why auto insurance is so high and why alot of states are raising the age to get a driver's license. :mad:

I looked up arrogance In the dictionary. I dont know what was arrogant about any of my comments. I dont feel that any of my post match the dictionary definition of "arrogance". I do have pride in myself as a detailer if thats what you mean. How are people going to pay for my self pride(arrogance), you posts make little sense to me:confused: I would appreciate if you could explain to me what you mean, maybe that way I will be able to fix it.

If an accident were to occur, it would likely be caused by the prius or caravan, not my me or the other sports cars. You were not there, stop acting like you were. Do you guys get mad at race car drivers for endangering the other racers on the track too? Do you not understand the concept of stopping distance? Sports cars are meant to be driven to the edge, I think they can handle going a few miles per hour over the speed limit. I mean common, its not like I am going 90 in a 25 in traffic with a car full of kids, geeezzzzzz.

Before you go all e-thug on me, I have one question do you talk this way to people in person or only when sitting behind a monitor? Also I disagree with your everyone was doing it so it is okay argument. You mention sports cars are meant to be driven to the edge and that is fine if you are on a race track but, it still doesn't mean that you are allowed to break the law by speeding and driving wreckless on a public road. I really hope that if you ever wreck that you don't hurt any innocent people because, you will have to live with that for the rest of your life. Just because you think you are a professional detailer because you have detailed a few cars for money doesn't mean that you are a professional driver because you own a BMW and have been driving for 2 years.

Thread has gotten a little off topic, I am going to close. PM if there is a problem with that please.
