yes, I know, I can't launch worth a sh*t. I'm installing my ingall's stiffy tommorow afternoon and going back friday night, hopefully the dampener can help me get off the line.

S/C or not? I'm into racing but moreso road courses (not auto-x). High 14's at 92 mph traps seems kinda high for a n/a version, I've seen a few s/c ones there and they were stuck around 15.2-15.3.

Be wary of any diesels there :D, old neighbors Powerstoke Excursion run's high 12's there. Know quite a few other's who run there with some very powerful cars (TT Vipers etc).

Last time I was there, I ran my 03' V8 Mountaineer, was cranking off 14.7-14.9 at about 91-92. Not bad for an suv with only intake/headers/dual exhaust hehe. When I got eh truck we had plans to swap in an 03' Cobra motor and KB blower for around 600 rwhp/tq, wish I did but didn't have the time.

it's N/A. my I/H/E came off of another local tC. With just I/H/E he ran a 15.1 @ 90 mph. I swapped the exact setup into my car and added a set of pullies. at least a 15.0 is possible. The pullies add 10 or so horsepower so....

Any dyno sheets to show a gain that big from pullies?

Surfer I think you might be a redneck not a surfer... racing a SUV! I love it! :applause: Think a gun rack will cause drag? :p

Redneck Racing = Nascar :D , Surfer Racing = Road Circuits with *turns*:D

I just like power, heh. Who wouldn't love a 600+ rwhp/tq daily driver suv. It's like my old neighbors Excursion or buddy's modded Cummins Ram. Nothing funnier then being in a 7K LB truck and blowing the doors of a sports car lol. The look on their face seeing something that large pull so hard is priceless. Aactually my buddy with the Ram is planning on redoing the truck with custom TT setup, propane and nitrous injection etc.

Haven't been to Moroso in awhile, get's too packed.

Surfer next time you put the SUV on the track let me know, one of those things you just must see in your life time!

Hey, nothing wrong with racing trucks and SUV's. Some of us will hand a sports car it's ass anytime.

On the same token, Moroso isn't known for it's traction, especially on Wednesdays when all the street cars are running. There's not much good rubber down.

Any lightnings there last night? A couple of my buddies run there.

Yeh track prep has been lacking for quite awhile. That and wait times can be ridiculous. Or, no offense to Neo;) , some import guys like to drive through the water box and drag water to the line. Buddy and I ran his stock 01' ACR Viper there, cranked off a best of 11.9 at 119 and that was almost bogging on the launch b/c I couldn't get traction.....*points fingers at cars dragging water*, and plus the car is setup for road racing and the rear spring rates stock are around 1200lbs if I recall which is extremely stiff.

Neo, all it takes is practice. You aren't going to be launching perfectly right away. Just keep at it.

wait times were about 50 minutes between runs. between 1045 and 11 when they closed though, i got 3 runs in.

I didn't drag any water up to the line, i drove around the box :D

if anyone is going, i'll be there friday with a bunch of friends.

sure....;)

I'll see if our friend is bringing his Excursion over, I'll tell him to look for a kid in a blue Scion and give him a ride, let him feel some bone crushing torque :D. Seriously a weird feeling being in any of those heavy ass diesels and just accelerating so hard.

:awesome: :awesome: :awesome:

that s*** is just plain funny !!

neo you just gotta practice and find exactly what rpm to launch at. plus, dragstrip and street are very different, but you could still get a feel for launching hard and shifting fast on the street.
anyone who rides with me would probably tell you im one of the fastest shifting people youll ever ride with, even just driving normal im very fast

well, i ended up cutting a 2.246 60' that let me make a 15.397 @ 88.33 pass. 2nd time at the track = a lot better than the 1st :D

Your 60' are killing you and honestly you should focus soley on getting those down. The lower the 60's the lower the ET's and higher mph. Or find a used n2o kit and some drag radials......go or blow baby......What psi are you running (tires)?

25 psi in the fronts. don't forget that i'm also FWD on 18's, cutting 1.XX 60's isn't going to happen
