Megs UC then Duragloss 601/105?

I am going to use Megs UC to remove oxidation on single stage Toyota paint using my new Griots polisher. Do I need to do anything in between that and applying Duragloss 601/105? I know its a Duragloss is a polish but will the paint look good, if all goes well, if I apply the Duragloss by hand?

I would use Ultimate Polish or Meg 205 prior to doing the 601/105 to seal it up. You need a finishing polish first most likely after the UC.

It all depends on your paint. Some car paints will be LSP ready after just UC. Others will need a finishing polish first. Do a test spot with just the UC, If it has any micro scratches or haze to it then add the polish. Always do a test spot if you can. It helps a lot with the trial and error.

If you have Duragloss 501 I would add that to the mix for a single stage too. It cleans unbelievably. I would used your UC and then see if you needed to go down to the UP or 205 then I would use the Duragloss 501/601 combo (using the 4 parts 501 to 1 part 601 bombination) then don't wipe it off and go over the top with the 105 sealant and let it sit for 30 min and wipe it off gently.

In fact if just oxidation removal is your main concern I would start with the 501/601 combo and see it that is what you are looking for. If you want swirl removal or defect removal you will need to add UC and UP into the mix.

DG 501 in my opinion is one the best, if not THE best paint cleaner out there plus it lays down an awesome protection player that last months.

What does everyone use to apply Duragloss? Cotton or MF applicators?
