Keep in mind that my car isn't 100% clean it does have some dust on it but I tried the squeak test today and my paint is squeaky when I push down with my finger. I just waxed the car with Gold Class a month and a half ago, should the wax already be gone or is the paint just squeaky because it isn't clean?

it's probably gone

test the trunk lid by spraying some 20:1 apc on half, then rinsing after 30 seconds with some wash soap and water.

check if the water beads on the half you didn't spray or if it all sheets like the half of the trunk you sprayed apc on...

Thanks, I'll try that. I have no problem waxing my car every month or two in the summer but I need a good wax that's going to last at least 3 months in the winter time. Any suggestions?

Collinite 845 is one of the top choice. WG sealant could last pretty long too (but not as long as 845).

Some of us find the Collinite 476 to last a bit longer than the 845. You could also try the 915 (which I haven't) which some people like better than 476.

Can I use Meguairs products like their Quick Wax after regular washes with Collinite on the car?

I use it as well, can i put a layer of collonite 845 down and then a coat of the gold class? I have been wondering if I could do 2 layers of wax.

Many waxes do not live up to their longevity claims and it's not uncommon for over the counter waxes to last only a few weeks rather than a few months.

So no surprises here......

I've never had a problem layering waxes. Collinite 845 will give you protection and Gold Glass should give you some shine. Soft wax (Gold Class) on a hard wax (Collinite 845).

However, I don't think that you necessarily NEED to layer Gold Class over Collinite 845.

I just ordered Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant in preparation for the winter. Guess I should stick with Collonite 845. Even lasts longer than a sealant? Any sealants that DO last longer?

I just put the wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant on my truck then a coat of 845 on top.....it looks great

Any of the Collinite waxes. I'm using 845, but once that's gone I'm trying 915. Seems most prefer 845 because it's a liquid so it's easier to apply to a DA pad. True dat, but I still wanna see what 915 will do. Oh yeah, easily lasts me 3 months before I get the uncontrollable urge to lay on another coat. I love the "water marbles" of fresh wax.

845 is just a dream to apply once you get past the screwy bottle--not that the pastes aren't a little screwy with the small opening in the can. The pastes are less of a joy to apply than 845 (although still not bad) but they do last a bit longer IME.
