yeah, Megs NXT doesn't last long...Dropped due to VOC regs. Great because when it was available for $12-15 for 11oz you had a hard working wax. It doesn't really add wetness but it does add a very nice glow to white/silver cars. 2 very thin coats lasted 3-4 months during summer winter depending on location. A simple yet effective combo for light colored cars was/is VM/#16. It is my winter protection. Now that they sell for $25-30 most buy it for nostalgic reasons (metal tin with that crayon smell). I've said this before and I'll say it again, funny how a wax designed in 1952 with virtually few tweaks still outlast todays "new and improved" long lasting sealants.
DG#105 will outlast #16, expect about 6 months of durability for sure (if washed weekly with gentle shampoo, and using booster wax)...Collinite #476S is a nice alternative #16, lasts just as long, maybe even longer...Don't DG 105 and the Collinite waxes last that long or longer?
That's the key and why when it was available @ 12-15 dollars made it a good deal. collinite is a great alternative now since they are at the same price point. For $15 and under you had a wax that outlasted most long lasting new and improved sealants. It's just a transparent wax that needs a glaze for wetness, but only needs 2 super thin coats to take on some pretty extreme weather and make it.I have a tin, and for the price its not bad, but I dont see what the big deal is! Its not very easy to remove unless if you use it suuuuuuuuuuuper thin
There some good info there! Something good from Canada.
