Meguiars apc, carpet & lingering smell (from the cleaner)

Get some fragrance free clear laundry detergent and dilute it anywhere between 6:1-10:1 in a spray bottle.

Scrub and mop up with cotton terry hand towels. That should eliminate the scent in your carpets.

@Ric I agree that we shouldn’t mask any smell. However correct me if I’m wrong , these odor eliminator products state it removes interior smells.

Again I’m just a hobbyist and correct me I’m wrong guys.

Yes, as a final punch they can and hopefully will eliminate that final trace of smell..

But even the label tells you to “remove any source of unwanted odor. Vacuum & clean any any soiled carpet/upholstery”

I would try Arm & Hammer Pet Fresh Carpet Odor Eliminator. If it is good enough to eliminate dog s**t odor, then it's good enough for Megs D101.

It’d be kinda like getting your AC serviced and running but not taking the time to vacuum out all the leaves on your windshield air intake. Lol.
Lets do a thorough job and do it right.

I've tried this odor eliminator in the past, the smell it leaves is even more overpowering than APC.
I'd say all it does is mask.
Im not a pro either, but this is based on my personal and very recent experience.

that's just baking soda, trying that as we speak (waiting for 24 hours before vacuuming). will report back. thanks UncleDavy!
