Hey all,

I've been using Collinite 845 on my daily driver for a while. I discovered Meguiars Black Wax and kind of want to give it a shot to give it a little more pop. So I'm curious on a chemical level, would it be compatible to put the collinite on top of the black wax?

Thanks,
Joe

If I understand this, Sounds like a lot of work... Remove existing 845, then apply two waxes back on again and you still end up with 845 on top..?..for the "chance" that it might improve the look?

While I am an avid user of 845, I don't think I would be using it as a topper. I use it solo. 845 can be very difficult to remove, especially in humid conditions. Perhaps top off with Ultimate Quick Wax and you'll get almost the same results.

How about applying at the same time, combining products on the pad 1 to 1, let dry to a haze and then remove.

According to Meg's there is no chemical or bonding confliction with combining an AIO with a wax.

I have combined Meg's cleaner wax and 476s and applied at the same time and was very happy with results. The 476s def. extended Meg's #6 by a couple of months.

how did this work out for you? this is exactly what i have planned, Meg's Black Wax to get rid of some very fine swirls and enhance the dark color, then follow with Collinite 845 for the extended protection. i will will be doimg this by hand. thoughts?

Any of the Collinite waxes work beautifully with all Meguiars Cleaner Waxes and Polishes infact they make an awesome combo/team.

If you are having a hard time removing Colinite 845 then you are applying to much product. Are you applying by hand or machine?
