Anyone every try Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System on a boat? I know its a gel-coat finish and its not factory paint, but a lot of guys use automotive products on boats. I for one have always like Wizzard Turbo Cut to remove light oxidation caused by the sun.

After the roll out of the MF System, there were a couple of comments on using the MF on gel-coat and 'they' remarked on how well it DID work.

Where I saw this, I don't really remember...maybe MOL?

Works great, not as fast as a rotary at taking off oxidation but overall your gonna get good results, one thing that's funny, when you put the pink compound on an oxidized gelcoat you will notice you won't get the pink off till all the oxidation is gone, so don't flip out after your first pass and you see omg the pinks not coming off!! Like I did :)

Here are some notes I received from Meguiars about the system with boats....

Works great on boats/RVs.
  • Light to moderate oxidation, but very severe oxidation may require more aggressive first step before finishing with the DA System.
  • Microfiber discs will load up quicker, so frequent cleaning or swapping discs is key
  • Surface can not be hot to the touch
  • Must wipe off compound immediately
  • Wax can go on any way preferred

Hope that helps out.
