So I have a Griot's DA polisher. Currently have the Meg's DA Microfiber DMC 5" discs with the D300 compound. Looking at picking up the DMF 5" discs as well as the polish and wax. Just wondering if this will give the best results for home detailing my car and Triumph motorcycle. Any other combos that folks could recommend that would be better? Thanks!!

I used that same combo for a couple years. I wasn't impressed with the DAMF system wax...the Finishing Wax, just not a fan. But the D300 and the polish are solid performers and with the MF pads will give you good cut and finishing. I have moved over to mostly all Griots products but keep a few of the Detailer line on hand too. But for your home use, It should be just fine!!

I used the DA system with good results but have since moved on to other things; there are so many combinations and lots of opinions and favs.

You tube d 300 and their is a video of Jason Rose at auto geek worth the watch

I like to finish out with Essence on a Meg's microfiber finishing pad. The gloss it produces is ridiculous and can be used as a foundation for a ceramic coating (if desired) without needing any additional prep.

I am wanting to do this combo:

D300/DMC
D302/DMF
845/DMF

I would say that since you are going to be using a dedicated wax/sealant that the D302 is unnecessary. A better and more versatile polish would be M205, which also works GREAT on DMF pads.

Depending on how bad the paint is Essence and a MF cutting pad is a great one step. If paint is rough D300 followed by Essence is one great combo.

it's a great product for a moderate swirled vehicle.i tend to use sonax cut and finish less aggressive. If i need more punch or bite i will use that in some cases.

Taking your advice and will try this combo when I get the chance.

D300/DMC 5" pad
M205/DMF 5" pad
845/Wax/Sealent 5" pad (blue)

I would strongly suggest finishing with a foam pad, not the DMF! The Megs DA MF system was designed with volume shops in mind. While the D300 is a fantastic product, the D301, which great in it's intended use, is not going to finish down as well as a dedicated polish on a foam finishing pad.

Essence will finish very well on the DMF, but it's almost certainly filling in the faint DA haze.

I would suggest this:

D300/DMC 5" pad
M205/Megs yellow (or black) foam 5" polishing disc
845/Wax/Sealent 5" pad (blue)
