This is a Lamborghini Gallardo that is rented and abused

The wheels are rarely cleaned and have never been cleaned to AutoGeek Standards

Although, I didn't include wheels and tires in my quote; I thought it would be a good test bed for the DUB Color Changing Wheel Cleaner that Mike Stoops gave me to try

Thoroughly sprayed the dry wheels with DUB

Let dwell 3 minutes

Attacked with Wheel Woolies

Something was strange...

I expected to see a lot more color changing as there appeared to be a ton of brake dust

Re-sprayed, re-agitated, coming cleaner, but portions of the wheel are still very dirty

Manager shows up, I ask him what he can tell ne about these wheels.
Turns out they have been repainted and re-cleared twice....without removing them from the car! His wheel Guy, re-clears the entire rim, when he does a spot repair to the paint.

The dirt I was trying to remove was actually underneath the clear, which on top of everything was dry sprayed

Wasted an hour on one wheel

LOOK REALLY CLOSE and tell me if you notice anything else

All correct

It is minus one lug nut

Sharp eyes on the Geekers

Really!? This wheel man needs to be fired!

Ouch, it's hard to even imagine someone doing that to any car, let alone one like that.

That wheel guy should be looking for a new job...

Wow he should have been bringing it to you to just clean them and throw on some touch up that is crap.

Hack's! The so called 'wheel man' & the manger who allows this on his watch.

Re-spray over the dirt, LOL!

Well that is a first... Never thought I'd see that. Surprising the clear doesn't bubble a bit trying to bond on dirt?

Why I am not surprised. A lot of places that I won't name, respectable places don't take the wheels and tires to clean them. At first glance everything looks glossy and shine but after its first week, you will notice the dirt building up fast. Why this happens? They don't clean them right, some shops will spray over the dirty wheels when they black them out or powder coat them.

My clients, 2 of them sued a company already over here in South Florida.

yea...have some knowledge on detailing in la...as I do come down there to work....very few shops down in that area that I would let touch my car. That's probably why I get phone calls from clients in that area.....also, it seems that one of the autogeekers who owned a business in that area(very good one)...left....and I have new clients who apparently used to be his. strange.....anyways....la "detailers" suck ...end rant :) lol

No one can make this stuff up! Nothing better than actual stupidity! <shakes head>

welp, considering what some "pros" do in this industry, i'm not surprised at what "pros" do in other industries.

sad to see.
