I love these foam pads a lot. They are great for wheel polishing and applying waxes and removing paint defects. I love shopping here at AG. The only thing that bothers me is that AG does not sell these. I always have to go to meguiars direct or another website to buy them. Is there any chance in the world AG will buy these from Megs????? I need more of these due to my moms dog got into them one night after I accidentally left them in a clean plastic bag after they were washed to air dry and he chewed them up. I was able to salvage one out of 12 I had. Any help here at all?

That's not bad of a price. Only I can get 10 meguiars foam pads for the price of the 6 =]. That's one reason why ive stuck with the meguiars pads because of the deal your getting with them. They are cheap and work really well.

You say that AG doesn't sell it and then you say it's too expensive... there's no pleasing you ;)

I wasn't implying that. All I said was for the price of the pinnacle 6pk, I can get another 4 of the meguiars if I bought megs foam pads. If AG cant or wont buy them for some reason, then this would be an alternate. Do you have the pinnacle foam pads? How well do they work if you do?

They work great. I try to buy whatever is the biggest amount (24 I think) to save money. 24 Pack

I think the Meguiars foam applicators are slightly bigger in size than the Pinnacle and one side of the Megs has the logo.

I have used both. The Megs seems like better quality to me but I still usually just buy the Pinnacle so I can get everything from one place.

I wish AG sold the Megs as well but they probably will not because it would compete with their Pinnacle in house brand. I don't blame them though.

Have you looked at your local auto parts stores? Maybe they may be able to get them.

If AG doesn't carry them, check Amazon.
Not to mention, your local Walmart, Sears and auto parts stores should carry them as well.

is it just me or the pads that come with meguiars waxes like gold class paste are softer then the ones sold separately

I have picked up the 4 packs at Bass Pro Shops a few times, but its been a couple of years. There was a Napa around here that sold 4 packs of the SM Arnold ones that are just as good (if not better than the Megs) that were the same size and color as the Megs but were smooth on both sides and were Made in USA. That Napa stopped carrying them though...

Yeah I messaged AG on facebook about these pads. Even called and talked to the same person that messaged me back on fb. He told me that they did buy them from meguiars as of yesterday and it will be a couple days till we all see them on the site =]. He said it may be delayed getting them to the buyer...depends if you were to order them now. If you ordered them in a week or so, then there would be no issues. So im happy now. He originally stated that they bought the 4 pks and was going to sell them for 6.49. I said that detailing.com has them for 4.95 for the 4 pk and 1.95 for the 2 pk. He replied and said he would check in getting the 2 pks too. So with that being said....that is excellent customer service right there ladies and gentleman. I wish our local walmart, oriellys, napa and some other stores who carry detailing stuff had these hard to get items in their stores around here. I hate how I have to order everything online and wait and wait for it to ship out and be delivered.

I buy a 12 pack for less than $3 on ebay.

are they as good as meguiars pads? or do they crumble and fall apart after a few uses?

I see the ones on ebay $2.85 for 12.
wax applicator foam | eBay

and they look like they're crap.

meguiars pads are very durable and puffy even after dozens of uses. I would like to stock up on a few more, but shipping charges are more than the sponges themselves

Are you talking about the purple ones that have Meguiars written on them? I got one of those a while back with NXT 2.0 and it is my favorite applicator. I didn't know they sold them separately. Way softer than those pinnacle yellow ones.

I've noticed this as well, it's also a hollow pad compared to a single foam structure pad as the ones sold individually are. Still great pads, the Meguiar's Soft Buff Pads are nearly identical to the Pinnacle pads, only with a Meg's logo on one side, which could be perceived as a setback or a benefit, depending on how you use them.
