Meguiar's G110v2 Dual Action Polisher In Stock!

If Adam's Porter Cables are made in America, don't you think that would mean the Porter Cables sold right here on Autogeek are made in America as well?

Its a joke. I guess if you spend sometime over there you would get it.

Its some chest pounding stuff they say over there.

Ahh, OK. I never go on their forum. I use their products though.

:xyxthumbs:

Yeah I'm not bashing anyone but umm...

I try to hang around forums and read more then actually post to get more info and knowledge from everyone. Some stuff just sticks out to you that isn't really detail related.

But back on topic, isn't the 220v2 the same as the 110v2? The only difference being the 220volt vs the 110volt? And if not being made in a cretin country is a concern its kind of hard to stay way from things made in another country. With this day and age you just have to accept the fact that with a larger work force in China + cheaper labor = more products imported into the USA.

Right, plus there are so many parts and everything I would doubt they are all made here. I never got on the "Made in America" bandwagon. It doesn't really matter to me as long as it is a good product.

Yup, I just hold the company that import the goods and sells them to consumers liable for any and all defects from the manufacturing process.

I'm a computer geek and almost everything in my computer is not made in the USA. Weather its Thailand, China, South Korea, USA; I hold the manufacture responsible for the components inside my computer. If something takes a dump I call them up if the product is in warranty and I'm usually taken care of (IF the issue was just normal use and not me overclocking it/experimenting).

Buy from a reputable seller and trusted seller (example of computers I use NewEgg but since we're talking about DA polishers AutoGeek!), and from the manufacture that is trusted and stand behind their product (PorterCable, Meguiars, Flex, Griot's etc etc).

Yea, I am a computer geek too. I don't think Asus, Gigabit, etc are just down the street!

Just keep in mind that the Flex is a totally different animal. If you think you'd ever consider damp sanding via machine, one of the FRSA-type DAs is a must... and the Flex doesn't work as well with the MF DA system from Meguiar's if you want to head down that path.
I may go with the Porter Cable, I've had better luck with products made in Mexico than China...

But I will hold the Flex as an option if I want to splurge. Thanks!

Why does it matter where it is made?
Sorry, just a fan of USA, Germany, England, Japan, etc. products. The labor force in highly developed nations is also highly skilled and translates (usually) into a very durable product with quality to match. Just in my experience, of course.

As far as the Porter Cable, I believe they are made in Mexico, if I am not mistaken.
