Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coating refresh

I have a layer of this coating since last fall on my vehicle. If I want to add another layer, since this is almost a year old, can I just add another layer of coating or do I need to do a Surface Prep(Meguiars)?
 
You mean a surface prep like an IPA wipe? I think you would probably want to do more of a decon wash before another layer of coating. I'm sure other people will chime in with some suggestions for that.

The Surface Prep is Meguiars that came with the coating.
 
I did my dad's car late last summer and wanted to add a coat this summer. This question was asked over on Meguiar's Online, I took the advise given there. As stated in above post, I gave the car a deep decon wash then wiped down with that Megs surface prep spray. Paint was still in amazing shape, so applied the Megs Paint Coating on. Car is holding up fantastic.
