It took him 10 years to bring this out??? Go figure.

kind of how i felt too. if a boss wants only christian employees, he wont test you out for 10 years, he'll can you right away. 10 years is a long time to be at one place and to say they fired him solely on religion is blasphemous, they wouldnt have let him stay THAT long

Well, I think that this is a total BS, you don't run a business buy chosing people of your prefered skin color, their religion, and culture, sexual orientation.

A lot of times it is even easier to run a business without your friends, which might expect favors form you.

My own opinion.

Keep us updated on this case.

I completely agree... people will use any excuse possible to not face the fact they they are a poor worker.

I have worked for, and know many Christian business owners, and none of them would ever consider fireing someone because they weren't Christian... that would be very much a religous extremest action, not mainstream Christian mindset. (It also goes against several Christian beliefs)

i have a hard time believing this, but if its true, thats the dumbest way to run any business
Ever heard of Chic Filet?? lol, what a bible thumping company. Only plays Christian radio in stores, they hold these church rally things for "inspiration" or whatever you want to call it lol. My cousin used to work there back in high school, he got fired b/c he didn't go to their prep rallies and other gatherings. Couple months later a girl he knew there got fired as well for the same reason, while the ones who did go to bible thumping day stayed LOL. Well he did go to one rally, and left, he was like "you gotta be kidding me". I know the owner of the company is deeply religious.

Personally I'm half/half and celebrate x-mas and Hanukkah but we're not religious, I could careless. I don't know why people take religion so seriously, I can understand going to church and everything but some people take it too far. One of our friends has a neighbor whose hedges are trimmed in the shapes of Crosses....maybe he's trying to ward off Vampires:confused::D

chick-fil-a is a Christian owned company. Yes, they play Christian music in the lobby, but I bet you one billion dollars he was fired for being a poor worker. Christians arn't stupid like that, we wouldn't just fire people because they do not believe the same things we do.

He was an idiot, he either openly bad mouthed everyone to proove how much a Christian he wasn't, or just was a plain bad worker.

I know several Chick-fil-a owners, and none of them would fire anyone just because they believed something different, that is a stupid thing to assume.

Again, there are extremest, but they are few and far between.

Shoot, one of the most Christian Christian I know owns an auto-shop in Atlanta, and 75% of his workers are not Christians, and play "devil music" (rap etc.) in their bays, they do good work, and are great people...He's not going to fire any of them. One of the Biblical principles of Christianity is what you hear quoted all the time, "Be in the world, but not of it". That right there sums it up. It is rediculous and stupid to fire someone because they arn't a Christian. It says to be in the world, meaning to participate in the world with everyone, not just Christians. The not of it part means to not do the things we believe are wrong, the 10 comandments.

Christians have no right to judge anyone, especially how religious they are, and they aboslutely don't have the right to punish someone for not being religious enough.
